Can this damage be minimized? I had previously posted on the wrong board. thanks. Also if it can be helped, what services should be requested as I have never sent anything to NCS.

There are always difficulties with evaluating coins from images. There is possibility that we may be able to remove the corrosion spots from your coin but exactly how successful we might be I would have to see the coin in person. Given this particular coin's value, it would be a good idea to submit the coin for full evaluation.
