The luster is all wrong.

It looks cleaned and if the white balance is correct it may have been recolored.

There is no cartwheeled luster. So, it is either whizzed or fake, IMO.

The 76 looks very harshly cleaned, if it is real. I don't know anything about trade dollars, so I can't make an estimate on authenticity. The 77 looks a little better, but I think that one has been cleaned also.

Those are tough to tell Jim. They don't have the usual loss of details in the low reliefs of them that most fakes have. I've never seen any this color either. Sorry, not much help here!

I adjusted the photo a little, seems it may just be the lighting but im not 100%. My gut tells me the coin has been polished but i could be wrong as the pic isnt the greatest.
