New 7070 purchase.....

Grabbed this from a coin shop while I was on the road for work. It was kind of an impulse purchase, as I hadn't bought anything in awhile. Care to comment on the coin as to grade and overall oppinion?

Tough to be sure from the photos, but I'd guess AU 58 because I believe I see high-point rub on the obverse (could be toning though). Regardless, I think it will look very nice in your Dansco. All IMHO...Mike

I would have to guess AU due to slight mishandling of a coin that likely did not circulate. The images, though, are a bit tough to work with. Regardless, this coin has the deep toning that these are famous for.

I've seen Columbians in NGC and PCGS holders graded MS64-65 that looked like they had high point rub like this. I think many of these tone like that or else the TGPs really make some bad mistakes on them. That said, the pictures are out of focus and poorly lit so no one can really tell. If I were forced to guess I would say it was in the MS62-63 range. The prices on these aren't much different from AU58 to MS63 on these so the grade is not critical. It does look like it could be a nice coin in hand.

Shot in the dark....MS63....I have owned two of these and both had similar toning....maybe a little nicer but I like your coin and I think it will make a great addition to your 7070 :applause:
