removal of fingerprints on proof coins

2 posts in this topic

I have some proof coins that came from the Soviet mint without capsules and the previous owner left a piece of themselves for me to enjoy.

Will NCS remove the fingerprints from these coins? What are the chances of full removal?

What should I be concerned with?

Thanks!

Our success in removing fingerprints will depend on how long the print has been on the surface of the coin and how much the oils have been able to eat into the surface metal. With a coin of such recent vintage, chances are good this fingerprint may be removed through professional conservation.
