If its not an Unc, its the most prooflike non-proof i've ever seen. Regardless, I don't like toned prooflike coins either.

Some mints do it like that. The make it in a reverse-proof-like finish and call it Uncirculated. The proofs have much depper contrast. The Canadian Maple Leafs and the British Brittanicas (sp?) are this way also.

I've always liked world 1oz coins. I tried to put a set together (maple, panda, eagle, Mexico, etc.) but they were just to hard to locate.

 

Check the book price, some of the back-dates can be semi-rare.
