10th anniversary platinum eagles

Supposedly the mint is going to put out a 10th anniversary 1/2 oz, platinum proof set, with a reverse proof.

 

A reverse proof platinum coin!! Does it get any more collectible than that?

Have they actually announced this or is this still hear say? I haven't seen any indication on their website of these.

I don't subscribe to CW to verify the story, so I'd call that hearsay, from across the street.

According to CW " The U.S. Mint will release a limited edition, two coin set containing a Cameo proof 2007W half ounce platinum $50 coin and a reverse proof 2007w half ounce platinum coin later this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the platinum coin program"

 

They also mention the mint may add an eagle privy mark to the platinum coins beginning in 2009

The 2 20th anniversary reverse proofs, along with the reverse proof platinum would make a nice multi-holder set. I sure hope they go ahead with this.
