Mike I'm impressed by your dedication to Mr. Barber's coinage. I think you're dedication to him is only exceeded by his dedication to himself! He sure did love himself didn't he!
-
I have to agree Mike, very fresh and very nice.
-
Nice setup there Bruce. Hope you did well with your coin sales at the ANA.
-
Not my latest purchase, but one of my recent favorites!! Gonna put in the the grades section and reveal there tomorrow.
-
You'll sometimes see them listed as ASE as well.
-
That double strike is very interesting Mike.
-
Do you have a link for that half Elbesaar? I couldn't find it but I'd love to see it.
-
What an amazing error on that Fugio!
-
Wow, that one is absolutely fabulous! My pocketbooks don't run near that deep!
-
Very decent pics of a really nice coin Bruce!
-
It looks pretty cool actually. I would have easily paid $10 for it back then given the chance.

Chris, if Mr. Elbesaar is Mike, then I'd have to agree with you. He must own a bank, otherwise his SDB fees would cost almost as much as his collection. Wow, never ceases to amaze me how gorgeous these coins are. High grade, key date, excellent eye appeal... what else would one want!

Jaime, next time I got to a coin show, let me know what coins you are looking for. I'd most likely have to pick them up in complete PS's, but some should not be that expensive. Let me know, I find ucam / dcam dimes on a regular basis, but I usually pass on them unless they are SMS coins.

Chris... if you find the pointed 9, there should also be an Accented Hair Half to go along with it. Take a look and see if I'm right. But, I remember reading a while back that somehow the pointed 9 and the AH always accompany one another... or maybe there are some rogue pointed 9's, but every AH is paired with a pointed 9.... Does that make sense?

Wow, hat sucker looks PL to me!
-
Wow Lee, that's a very interesting Texas Commem!
-
Those are very nicely matched, must have come from the same album!
-
Wow Sir, that sure does have some nice cameo for not being a cameo! And, an Eliasberg to boot!
-
Wow Bob, that 09 is absolutely incredible... talk about eye appeal!
-
I totally agree, great luster and color!Elbesaar- Outstanding Barber (thumbs u A coin where the technical grade takes a back seat to eye appeal and originality. -
Do I have to ask? MPL? Very nice btw!

Jaxon... I wonder if the half got the star due to the strike alone? I think that is one sweet strike, better hand definition than I've seen on most.. and for those that love breast feathers there are plenty to gawk at. So, yes, I believe they both deserve the star, but the half, not for the color but for the strike.
-
Wow Shatz... nice coins there!
-
I'm in too! Even with the rim nick it is one sweet coin1I too belong to the "Love your 1813 5D Gold Piece Club".

Must have been using the PCGS link. The codes don't always transfer well.
