Who is SEGA? I know SEGS and PCGS and well tons others, but when I did a search for SEGA nothing comes up.

56? new grading standard. very nice addition!
-
That 43S has some serious PL qualities about it.

To Me, a coin of that grade should have a little more crust on it. To Me, the color is slightly more yellow than I would have expected. So, To Me, the coin appears to have been cleaned at some point.
I'm sorry, but if it was "cleaned" as you say, wouldn't it have been in a details holder?Matt, that's a very pleasing piece. Quite possibly cleaned but still pleasing to me.I read Jason's response and totally agree with his comments about cleaned coins making it to non detail holders. To Me, this is one of those examples, but don't let me sully your experience in enjoying this coin. I know it didn't change my opinion of the fact that I would love to have an example similar to this in my collection. The coin is devoid of a lot of the distracting marks you see on a coin of this grade and for that I find it quite pleasing regardless of the fact that To Me the coin appears to have had a light cleaning.

I would hope that the OP still received recognition for the discovery and this being a confirmation.A second specimen, in higher grade, has been reliably reported by someone I know personally. It is on its way to Bill Fivaz for confirmation.TD

That's a very decent discovery coin. I agree with Jason that this is definitely hub doubling. What are the lines that are vertical behind the ear and going up through the wing? I hope it's not damage.

Thanks Jeff, you must be doing some catching up, that was a while ago. But, I got a super deal on it and it's nicer than my paltry images. So envious of that 1941 proof merc Coindude! -
Mike, here's a link to your set. I'm perusing it right now!
Hate to say this but I don't have a clue how to do that. Computer is not my first language. It is number 11 in sets 1909-1958.Wheat, you need to post a link to your registry. I know you have some amazing coins in there!and thanks

I think the 23-S may have received the RD designation and the 13, I'm on the fence which means they most likely gave it an RB.
