    Love the Commems Lee!

Thanks Richard. That Tamron still doing ok for you? Took the Iowa image with my Nikon D3000 & Tamron 90mm lens. :)

I'm still kind of hit and miss with it but when I get it right... it's real nice. I shot that cathedral medal with it. Your new set up looks to give great results.

  2. Holy smokes... what a beautiful bunch of coins everyone :golfclap:

I've been putting together an 1818 year set (ex the one gold) and this is where I ended up. The quarter should be arriving today I hope. In the mean time I used the sellers pics. I posted the cent separately in a thread hoping to solicit comments on it as I'm not very knowledgable on copper coins.

  3. Wow... really nice coins everyone!

I haven't been purchasing "coins" but did recently buy some BU Morgans for just over melt. When I was going through them I found this coin. Now I'm not a VAM guy... or even a Morgan guy but with the several die cracks and a cud I was curious and some others told me to check Vamworld. I did and found it easily.

This is a "2B III22 · C3a (Closed 9, Retained Cud NITED) (190) I-3 R-6". An R-6 Vam. I'm guessing that is a good thing. Here's a link to the web page that describes this particular VAM:

Here's the detail shots that show the VAM characteristics...

It has another crack on the rev... partially shown here. It actually goes all the way over to the L in dollar...
