  1. About 10 years ago I bought this 1945Mo MEXICO G2P at an antique store in Mebane NC. I believe I paid about $60. Recently sent it in to NGC for Grading and was pleasantly surprised. https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/2914181-001/64/
  2. Thanks for all the replies. The photos really can't do it justice as there is a significant area of bump on the reverse that doesn't appear well when photographed.
  3. Thanks for confirming. I kind of like it because it makes the 6 look like it has a tail or a fin.
  4. This 1970 D Roosevelt Dime appears on the Reverse to have die subsistence colliding with RICA in America and the surrounding leaves. Can you please confirm?
  5. This 1964 Lincoln Penny isn't the best looking specimen. However, it's got what I believe is a small die chip between the 9 and 6 in the date. Is this simply a die chip?
  6. Thank you. Your comment and reference are very helpful
  7. Several years ago I was told by a much more experienced coin collector that this 2001 Lincoln penny likely has a gas bubble on the Reverse behind Lincoln. Curious if you agree or if you have other thoughts on what it is?
  8. I've seen several 1964 Lincoln Penny clipped planchett coins online. Many are small clips as this coin. Is this a legitimate clipped planchett?
  9. Kind of an ugly coin. Not sure I want to keep it but suspect Obverse Lamination peel under Liberty. Is this a lamination error?
  10. Would this 1996 BR Lincoln Penny with Long Reverse Die crack bring a premium?
  11. This 1963 D Lincoln Penny looks like the "L" in Liberty turned approximately 10 degrees. Is this potentially an issue with the Die or Strike?
  12. This 1971 D Lincoln Penny makes me laugh each time I see it. Reminds me of Ebu and the Liberty mispronounced iberty insurance commericals. Over the years I've come across 2 to 3 similar coins missing a letter. I know they aren't uncommon or particularly desirable but I like this one. In research missing letters or numbers on coins, I can't find a solid conclusion on how a missing letter or number comes about. Is anyone familiar with the cause?
  13. Thank you Sandon and Powermad5000. Your posts wwere both very helpful
  14. I kept this Roosevelt Dime from pocket change many years ago. Kept it because I like the "collar like" at the base of Roosevelt's bust. Also, taking a fresh look again I noticed (see 3rd picture) a similar unstruck area at the base of the neck to the bottom hairline. Are these Cuds?
  15. Thanks to all. Appreciate the insights and advice
  16. I inherited the bennie half dollar. IMO it doesn't have a lot of scratches and scuffs, but the detail also is limited. So, not sure if I should get it appraised by NGC. Appreciated any opinions.
  17. Also inherited from my grandmother 3 half dollars. This 1969 JFK half dollar has obvious Reverse doubling. Do you think I should send in to NGC for certifications as an error coin?
  18. I inherited hundreds of Wheat Pennies from my Grandmother. Was happy to discover among them 5 1943 Steel Pennies. At first I thought this one was an error coin. However, upon doing further research I think its more likely a mutilated coin. Appreciate any feedback on that.
  19. Thanks to you all for responding and for your insights. Going back a few generations my family members have collected coins and now in addition to my own collection, I've been inheriting coins from my grandmother and father. It's intriguing to sort through and examine what they collected and to speculate as to why they kept each coin.
  20. Over the years I've kept several 2015 P Roosevelt dimes from pocket changes. I've found dozens that appear to have mint errors. Attached are pictures of my favorite. The Observe appears to have been softly struck. It also has a large die crack from the rim down through Roosevelt's hair. The Reverse also appears to have a long die chip or crack from the rim through the "O" and down through the torch flame. There are likely other irregularities with this 2015 P Roosevelt dime that I simply am not qualified to comment on. Some questions: Are these legitimate Mint Errors? Was there a broad issue at the Philadelphia Mint in producing the Roosevelt dime? Do both the Obverse and Reverse contain Die Cracks, Die Chips, or a combination? What is the cause of the fuzzy "Liberty"? Do you see anything else unusual about this coin? Appreciate any feedback.
