I have to say the reverse looks a lot nicer in your photos than I remember from the auction.
-
I'm going to have to disqualify myself but here are your two images for easy viewing:Okay, ya'll try to guess the grade. Here is the reverse. -
Is that the one from San Diego Coin & Bullion? If so, I was watching that and think that is the best I've seen for some time, from photos.I recently purchased this 1913 Caballito Peso. I have been looking for coins with artwork with horses and came across this Peso. This was the nicest one I have seen so far and decided to make it part of my collection. It is in an NGC slab. I am just beginning to learn about grading so I played it safe on this one. Any comments welcome. If you want people to guess the grade and provide full comments, you should post a photo of the reverse as well. Here's your photo:

Will those tone well? Maybe give it a shotWell I know these aren't real and I could never afford the originals so I bought this tribute set of silver bullion morgans. It has a copy of the 1889-CC, 1893-S, 1893-O, 1895-P, and 1878-P. All proof finish anyway. I thought they were nice to have. I gave $36.50 (includes s&h). -
Beautiful 1791 Washington small eagle cent Mike

Nice coins everyone!
Larry, that's a sweet looking Isabella!
Mike, great two cent from Mark

Now there's one way to immortalized yourself! The flamboyant Robert Orchard, a grocer, produced quite a few tokens in the late 1700's early 1800's, most featuring his own image. -
I might have gotten it mixed up with the 50th anniversary. The picture I saw wasn't the greatest. Thanks for posting the mintages1995 (50th year) $100 gold with mintage of 20001995 (50th year) $50 silver with mintage of 30000
2005 (60th year) $50 silver (gold layered portrait) with mintage of 5000
I don't know of a silver only 2005 (60th year)

Nice. How many different Marley coins are there? So far I think I've seen three, the gold 50th anniversary, silver with gold relief 60th anniversary and silver 60th anniversary.$50 2005 Jamaica Bob Marley 60 Year Anniversary silver commem from eBay late January (my Marley coin series is complete again - until next time they issue another one) -
Wow, I like that 1836 Phrygian, it's just stunning in the TrueView.
If I'm remembering the correct image, I think I like the earlier non-TrueView image of the 1873 trade dollar pattern better. I think the TrueView shows more of the toning but doesn't have the eye-popping luster the other pic had. Of course, I can be mistaken about which pic I'm remembering!

Just make that "Now where'd I put your credit card?" and you'd have a match for the US Mint story ATS
Doug, you should have looked her in the eye and said - "Oh my gosh! You're right! I didn't think about platinum before!" Then shuffle off mumbling, "Now where'd I put my credit card?"My wife asked me a pointed question recently. "if you're after the more artistic and beautiful world coins, why would you limit yourself to gold?!" duh, she had a point. I'm starting to branch out a bit with other stuff, picking it up when it strikes my eye.Doug

yarm, that is a gorgeous token! Lots of luster

Glad to hear it. I'm going to move on. I hope you can do the same.I'm as calm as a cucumber. -
You seem to have taken this very personally. Please relax, it's just an internet forum. It's not a big deal.My judgment of how I believe Chad will feel about the coin is based upon reading many of his posts, as well a few PM’s that I have had with him. Pm’s that you were not privy to I might add. You really have no idea what I based my judgment on. -
What I took exception to isn't your opinion of the coin, it's your judgement of how Chad will feel about it. You are not Chad. You know how you will feel about it, but how Chad will feel about it is up to him, not you. As for whether I would recommend that coin to someone, like Chad, it depends on what they are looking for. $10 isn't like a down payment on a house and many people spend that much and more for lunch. You seem to have taken exception to what I wrote to Chad, but I notice you never mentioned what you think about the coin, so let me ask you what do you think about it. Is that a coin that you would recommend someone buy? -
I get the feeling he can be proud of that coin right now. And depending who he shows his type set to, they may think it's great. The important thing is that he understands the issues. Whether or not his attitude will change over time is a different issue.
No, that is not what I mean. I chose my words carefully and meant exactly what I wrote.
Don't you mean he will never have a collection that other people will approve of? He seems to like it perfectly fine which is fine as long as he doesn't dramatically overpay. The nice thing about collecting is that you can upgrade the coins over time. One thing I will say, and it pains me to say it, is that you will never have a collection you can be proud of if you continue to buy the way you are now. -

Sweet coin and excellent price! The other modern commem with a ship I like is the Leif Ericson 2000 millenium dollar. Here's a proof Columbus Quincentenary Half Dollar that I picked up recently. -
That Wisconsin half is stunning. Thanks for sharing!
