  1. Thank you! You’re right I’m not a coin collector never have been. I didn’t know there was a certain way to hold coins. Good to know! I collect other things like hot wheels, comic books, old lunch boxes, and ventriloquist dolls. Not sure why I even noticed the coin even had an error but for some strange reason I looked at my change that day. But thank you for being so nice. Sorry about my ignorance to the proper way of holding a coin.
  2. The reason was to prove a point that sometimes people that think and want to be right all the time aren’t always right. Photos can be deceiving for sure. And it is hard to tell from a picture. It’s the rude comments that get me. Hahaha I told you so type stuff. I’ve had the coin verified I’ve said it over and over again. It’s not fake. If someone wants to see it in person be my guest. Pictures don’t do justice
  3. If the price is right I would consider selling it!
  4. Lmao that was a picture of a regular quarter. SERIOUSLY !!!! Iloilo😅🤣
  5. If you look closely in one of the pics you can see the error quarter sitting on my leg looks like a stain but it not it’s my error quarter. That just proves to me that maybe some of you aren’t so right like you think. Lmao. So the quarter with no error I took pictures of its sides and you’re saying that’s fake? I just wanted to double check I read that right. MY QUARTER IS NOT FAKE ITS BEEN VERIFIED BY 3 different coin shops in Slc utah. It’s a real quarter my friends.
  6. Lol. That’s not even the error quarter. I just wanted to see what people would say that’s actually the other 1970 quarter I have that doesn’t have an error.
  7. If you want to go ahead and assume it’s been “put together” go ahead and assume all you want. Lol that’s totally fine with me. Like I said I’m not a coin collector I just happen to find this in some change I got back. I have better things to do then figure out how to make fake coins. That’s not my thing. It’s been verified to me from credible coin shops in the Salt Lake City area that it is a real quarter nothing fake about it. Assume whatever you want it isn’t going to make a difference to me either way. Have a great night!
  8. Once again I agree with you Mike. Thank you for your kind words. I know if they had it they would be saying something different. People will be haters and that’s fine. I’m not even a coin collector. It was something that for some reason or another I noticed in the change I got back from grocery store. I thought it was pretty neat. It’s very clear to see who thinks they run this place and who doesn’t. I find it pretty comical. People making this out to be way more than it is. I was simply just curious to know if anyone else had a coin like this or knew anything about it. It was a simple question, I appreciate the feedback but I don’t appreciate when people try putting other people down because they think they know everything. It may be worth nothing to these people and that’s okay. It means something to me and at the end of the day that’s all that matters. People trying to be bossy and telling people what they can and can’t post and how to ask questions and what questions to ask. Really people it’s not that deep who named you people the boss. It should be a place where anyone should be able to ask anything they want about anything pertaining to coins. If you don’t want to read or answer the question politely move on. Not that big of a deal. Stop being so uptight people relax a little. Thanks Mike I think you’re an okay kinda guy!
  9. If it were so common why isn’t it in any of the error books? If it were such a common error wouldn’t it be somewhere in the books?
  10. It’s a one of a kind to me. I think it’s unique, I have a few other 1970 quarters same mint and they are just fine. I wasn’t even trying to sell it. I just wondered other peoples thoughts about it. People are so rude sometimes. It may mean nothing to anyone else but I think it’s pretty cool. And I’ve yet to find another like it so it’s rare to me.
  11. Mike, I agree with you 100 percent. My coin is one of a kind, it may not be in the best shape but that’s okay. Think of how many hands this quarter has been in and nobody even had a clue what they had. I just so happened to look at my change I got back from gas station that day and noticed it. I don’t know how or why but I did. I know this coin is something special that no one has. It may be worth 30 to Fenntucky Mike and EagleRJO, but I’m no dummy I know it’s worth a lot more than that. I’ve gotten a fair share of rude comments on other coin forums. People trying to tell my it’s a magician coin, it’s fake, it’s this, it’s that. Well I know it’s a real quarter I’ve had it verified by a credible coin dealer in my area. It weighs 5.6 g it’s still in great shape for its age . It’s a one of a kind. I know it’s worth more than 30 to someone.
  12. I know the article was from 1999 but the coins they were talking about that were worth $2000 were the 20 upside down dollar coins released in 1989. I’ve done research, I’ve taken my coin to all coin shops around here, I reached out to the mint, I’ve searched every website, every book and that article was the closest thing I could find with a coin similar to mine. It is very rare I don’t think there has been one like mine sold at any auction. I have a couple other 1970 quarters with the same mint and they are normal. They are aligned how they’re supposed to be
  13. I apologize for my original post. I should’ve proofread before I posted. Talk to text doesn’t always type the correct words. Anyway, I did find this article. Does anyone know what this is about? Could it pertain to my quarter in anyway.
  14. I have a 1970 D meant were both sides of the quarter are upright. I believe it’s called a 180 reversed day. I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about this error. I have taken it to all the coin shops around where I live and they have all verified. It is a real quarter not counterfeit but it’s not in any of the air books and nobody seems to know anything about it.
