2023 D Eleanor Roosevelt quarter

Do have the coneca forums. But never emailed to get activated for posts.. guessing that may take a day or two. Much appreciated gonna try to get that going! I'm hopeful... Maybe this will be my day -

I will word this post a bit more carefully than I did my last. I've researched a bit. And actually found several similar coins to this. I did see on variety Vista there is no known listing for a ddo of this yr/mint. The coins I found similar to this had a lot of comments supporting it looked like a possible find. But didn't seem to go anywhere.

Just on my own reason. I'm blind as a bat... Lol if I want to make out the basics of the coins features I need magnification. 🤓

Okay. I did not see some internet video that caused me to start seeing millions of imaginary dollars in my pocket. I actually became a collector on accident. Lolol. My ex father in law is the culprit on that.... And I get the whole everyone thinks they found the magical one view. When I look at this I do see the circulation flattening the abuse. The wear.. and I know pictures can be very hard to decipher. I did look at the know ddos for this yr. And realize they don't match. That's why I didn't list one as what I thought my golden penny to be. But just pointed out what was bothering me.. cause I can't seem to stop going back to it. I am much appreciative of all the help I get. And do not try to be difficult. But here and on other forums. I've noticed a trend more and more of just mean responses. I'm a big girl. Not gonna kill my day... and I get how answering the same questions is annoying af. Lmao. I'm a parent. I get it times 100.. that's why there's newbie forums. To ask the dumb stuff and get help

Funny I remember posting this in newbie questions.... The bottom serif on the g and top right of the y just kept catching my eye. And impressively condescending eagle.. but when ya find pennies like this cleaning out the dryer lint trap...ya just hope one is from that hot tiktok trend of coin collecting

I keep going back to the inside of the 0. The last 9 and the G in god and the y on liberty... Yea there's a lot of wear and circulation flattening. But it def has some looks of a ddo

Question on a 1910 p Lincoln wheat cent
Kerrykz replied to Kerrykz's topic in US, World, and Ancient Coins
Thanks much. Lots of useful info.... Didn't really expect it to be something particularly valuable. Just couldn't find anything on it... Having something just interesting and weird finds are pretty awesome even if it's nothing particularly valuable. (to me). I couldn't find any ddos at all listed on variety Vista. But haven't looked at doubledie before. Thanks much again ! -
Question on a 1910 p Lincoln wheat cent
Kerrykz replied to Kerrykz's topic in US, World, and Ancient Coins
Um... What? Hies talking about exactly what's posted? Saying that it could be ddo. Just extremely localized is possible.read up. It was said that ddo would be expected on multiple spots not just on the one letter. -
Question on a 1910 p Lincoln wheat cent
Kerrykz replied to Kerrykz's topic in US, World, and Ancient Coins
Totally agree on the die deterioration on some of the letters was mostly that end on the s that had me lost...doesn't look step like and is so clearly defined but again with ddo there should prob more but then again the same with mdd. Almost makes me wonder if something got in the die to make it such a clean line -
Question on a 1910 p Lincoln wheat cent
Kerrykz replied to Kerrykz's topic in US, World, and Ancient Coins
I hadn't even considered a partially filled die. Looks closer to that than md -
Haven't been able to come up with just what this is no known ddos for this yr. Doesn't appear to be md or look like a hit (to me at least). Gotten varying opinions so far

Didn't ask permission so not going to drop a name... Your coin appears to have been struck from the reverse die used in minting the 1909 MPL 1c Die #2. It is recognized by the doubling on the top of the T and E in united. This does not give it Matte Proof status. Your coin is well circulated and I can't match it to the obverse die that was used to strike the 1909 Matte Proof Die 2. Die 2 has die lines in the field between Lincolns eye and the rim of the coin. "see the image above" There is no sign of any die lines on the obverse of your coin in the location as shown, like the image above. I have to call your coin a Mint State example that has been circulated. Not having the coin in hand also hinders my abilities to further attribute.

Okay. Had it looked at... so it is a circulation strike. But the reverse was made with the mpl #2 die.
