  1. My heart says the silver quarter, since I've been actively searching for them for 45+ years. But my brain says the "W" quarters due to relative rarity and that the ones in circulation are slowly dwindling or getting worn.
  2. I keep all wheatbacks. but 1955’s get special attention due to the doubled due varieties. I especially keep anything pre-1940 as montages are lower. 1931–s, 1922 plain and D are rare(the plain is actually an error) Anything from 1909 definitely worth keeping especially s mint marks, and 1914-D. these are the big guys to look out for.
  3. I totally missed that about the chemicals! Yes a lot of dip solutions really mess up the coin! But it's worth scrap at a minimum. 3.73 as of this morning.
  4. CJ, Not sure how your cleaning of this came out. And as others said, no harm in trying to clean it on this example. Tarn-X is a good quick(but harsh!) silver dipping cleaner. If this had a readable date, i'd leave it be. But i hope you get get some detail after your method.
