Ah, hem, check the price guide. Any coin removed from a holder is worth less money. That’s a no brainer.

There is an EXCEPTION to every rule, or made up rule, or thought up rule or concept. Yes, I like burnished as well, but the 2020 & 21 E.R.s are in a DIFFERENT class.
The issue of C-19 is irrelevant to what I am saying here regarding these two year only coins. They are NOT just bullion ‘run of the mill’ coins. -

Ya’all need to READ the U.S. Mint’s letter. I am just reiterating what THEY said NOT me. Basically, I like the E.R.’s cuz they present a good investment. Like any ASE but better.
-
Thank you for your reply. I read the letter from the U.S. Mint in reference to the link. This information was very helpful in factually determining the production issue was DIRECTLY related to Covid-19. The cutbacks in workforce were ordered to prevent worker infection rate from climbing. Thus, the two mints (SF) and (P) took up the slack in bullion production from (W). There are 240,000 of these coins. Nothing more.

Why were there “Emergency Production ASE’s produced by the San Francisco and Philadelphia Mints for 2020 & 2021?
-
Good man. E.V. Owners will rue the day when they have to fork over their coin collection for a new battery.
-
Thank you Sir for your reply. You seem to be a man of great resource. Your answer is on point and very helpful.

We all know (or should know) that there are TWO different fonts. I asked if anyone knew WHY the font reverted to the “Legless” U, not IF they were different.
-
Does anyone know why the Leg on the U in United States has disappeared starting on the 2021 ASE’s Type 2 ? It does not appear on the 2022 or the 2023 issues.
-
Guys,
I asked about the Legless "U" on the new Type 2 ASE. Since no one has addressed my question (instead diverting to the 2007-8 ASE, [and other "Goop"] which, I already know about,) I must ASSUME no one has ANY answer.
Again, does ANYONE know why the new ASE Type 2 has a "Legless" U??? Will the 2021 and 2022 ASE's T-2 become the new "Hot" item?
-
Good one!
-
Well, that might be true to some extent. However, with the world in Chaos, they are bound to go up. I only look at the auction prices anyway. If the mint decides to "Change" it like they did in 2008 fortune may be ours. LOL!
-
-
Yep, that is a HUGE amount!! What year Armored truck do you haul them in? How many are graded?
It can be tough to get a non-shadow photo, but it can be done.
-
There is no "Irony" whatsoever. I have photos up.
-
Dudes,
I took the information off of the NGC webpage. If YOU have a problem with their info or infographics, take up your issue with one of the admins, not me!
-
From 2008 on, NGC has taken photos of every coin they grade. Front and back. All one has to do is click the photo icon and bam, it's there when they add a coin.
-
Well, there ARE other ways to get a photo of your coin on this site. If photos were such a bad thing, we would all be gathered around an RCA Radio.
-
I did not solicit augmentation. I simply asked a question. Smartphone technology took the world to a new place. Get over it.
-
A smartphone photo is better than no photo. I’m not selling anything here so why would I want gallery photo quality ? As Confucius once stated: “One picture worth 1,000 words.”
-
Why are there so many members who don’t have any photos posted of their coins? It’s very simple. Take a photo with your smart phone and upload it!
That way we can see your treasures of the realm.
-
Wasn’t it the “Transitional” Silver-Clad thing where they had no mint marks to show the diff? After all, NGC & PCGS did NOT exist in the 1960’s. Shucks, if they had, I’d have a truckload of graded coins. 🤣

Emergency Production ASE’s
in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Posted
True, Covid made alot of “Sick” people “Sicker.”
Especially in “New York City.”
I just know my E.P. ASE’s are worth more than the regular bulls. NGC says so. I will go with that.
