That is a great 1803

Thanks guys. I should have noted earlier that I harassed TomB almost daily while I was trying to find one of these. I finally found one that he approved of and I bought it. Thanks again Tom

Nice coins everyone
I stole the seller's pics on this one because they are better than I could do. For more info on these please read TomB's post I obviously found it fairly convincing

The coin appears to be somewhat underlit, but still looks like a nice piece.
That’s because it’s cloudy out I tried to use my copystand previously and was getting too much light on my coins. Since I’m getting a new camera for Christmas, I’m just waiting till then to try to use my copystand correctly.

1806 O.114 R5 Not sure what is going on with the skin . It isn’t white like a bad dip but I'm also not sure that it's original…opinions welcome…opinions with explanations extremely welcome

I like 'em all but the Columbian is especially cool. Good to have you back

Tom, you know I love my other 1824. I’m embarrassed to say that I had forgotten that it was an 1824 until I tried to export the image of my new 1824 and got the “replace existing 1824.jpg?” The original 1824 is still raw, so it sits in my safe, and not in my case. That’s my only excuse for forgetting that I already owned one . Maybe I’ll try to sell this new 1824 at the Boston show. I can’t lose much, I only paid $85.
That is a very nice Connecticut I like that off-white look on commemoratives.

The 1824 was only $85 and I bought it sight unseen. Silly really, I already had a great 1824.
The 1827 is a little below the grade that I general like to buy these coins in, but it is an original looking coin and 0.138 is R4

Amanda and Stan nice stuff I really like coins that look their age
Stan do you prefer Stan or Stanley? I want to get it right.

I'd like to thank everyone for their advice, and their opinions. I guess that this will be a coin that I will have for a very long time.... Because everybody hates it
Thanks again!
It’s not that we don’t like you, we do. We just get frustrated that you’re such a slow learner
I can be stubborn! Most of my family is that way
All joking aside, I do think you dismiss the opinions of knowledgeable people far too quickly. I think you do yourself a disservice in doing so.
I made a number of coin collecting mistake before I found this forum. I still make some mistakes, but they are significantly less frequent and they are for significantly smaller monetary amounts.
It’s okay to accept someone else’s opinion on a subject. I know that most folks here have significantly more experience in coin collecting than myself. I take what knowledge is offered to me – it’s not such a bad thing

I truly feel like a jerk for writing this Chad but, no, I don't like the coin at $10 if for no other reason that you might have found an original and attractive VF for fairly little extra money.
Hum…I don’t know if Tom really feels like a jerk
Tom, your brutal honesty & knowledge without bias is what makes you cool. You’d never make it on your sympathy alone...no chance

originality and character...what makes a coin a COIN! I ditto that! So far superior to many a fancy shmancy high grade PROOF that's never seen it's interesting and historic commerce.
-
I like the tree part. It reminds me of Winnie the Pooh’s home

Dollars or anything "cc"

Nice coins one and all!!! The Barber particularly makes me drool. You don't like the Viking theme do you, Winston?
It's not only a theme - it's a lifestyle
So Winston, are you into fermented herring and fleas?
In truth, I mostly identify with the Viking irreverence towards the views of the rest of the world. I prefer flealess women and freshly cooked meats. Note that those are only preferences and not positions on which I am uncompromising.

Lee that’s a great York
Tom I’m only so-so on your Columbian

I can’t really grade Peace dollars…so…AU53? In truth, what I find most attractive about the coin is its character. It stands apart from most of the Peace dollars that I’ve seen. It looks truly original which makes it desirable – at least to me.

Thanks buddy. That's my Viking coin collection

Love that 1921

Stanly, I love that Pilgrim
