I'm trying to learn, both in terms of value and simply what other people's preferences are, how these two coins compare. Both are 3rd party graded by NGC and PCGS (I'll reveal later). Thank you for your feedback, Jim

Just arrived today. Once I saw in person, I'm surprised it didn't get a *star designation. Obv is at least as nice as PL and other *stars I have. Maybe there is something I'm ignorant about?

That one's a beauty! So rare at the few coin shows I've been to. Plus they ask too much. And I rarely see nice ones on ebay. I have a 0% apr for 18 months credit card in case I do see one, lol.

jgrinz : Great tip !! Now I'm mad at Apple. My iPhone 11 pro was not cheap, but apparently you have to install a 3rd party app to be able to use ANY manual settings. I'm no tech person. If you or anyone can offer help, I'm all ears. I read this post this morning, but I JUST received in the mail from a dealer an 1894-S Morgan MS63+ that has a PL obv . I'm surprised no * star designation and I'd really like to share a good pic like yours jgrinz .

Hi. I'm new here. Last year I started collecting a basic (minus all the overdates, overmintmarks, and different reverse types) circulation issue Morgan set in (as close as I can afford to) MS64. I don't want to spend much more than $1000 for any 1 coin. The most I've spent was $1400 for the 94-S MS63+ and $1225 for the 84-S AU58 The only exception will be the 93-S. I'm not ready for that one yet and haven't decided my desired grade F, VF, or XF. I won't start with the CC's until probably next year other than I do have the 3 easy ones. Other than the CC's, the only one I need is the 04-S. I have MS64 in the other 84 pieces except for where price prohibits or there are a handful I'm still trying to upgrade (96-O from AU50 to MS for example). I have my collection in the NGC registration as Truly Clean Collection with images of every coin. If anyone wants to check it out, I would very much welcome any feedback or advice. I'm also curious if any coin stands out good or bad. Thank you...Jim

First post from a new member. I've only been collecting for under a year. I'm looking to upgrade my AU55 and am hoping for a couple opinions about this coin listed on Ebay. What do you think of the $1300 price (assuming no bids)? Also, I don't collect or know much about VAMs and I don't know how this particular variety is affecting the price versus if it was not VAM specified. Thank you for your help, Jim
