It also appears to me that the p mint mark was repunched above the s and directly to its right but I am definitely open to opinions as this seems like an impossible scenario.

Layered metal tends to oxidize and turn bright colors when under extreme pressure. A triple stamped mm would create an unusual color fit the tail of the s.

What is that line coming down off of the bottom of the right side of the d? And that second curvy line coming off of the bottom of the left side of the d and above it? Not trying to say your wrong, but what are those extra lines?

Usually a tail coming off of the bottom of the d signifies an s mintmark beneath a d mintmark
