Compliments of LeeG (ex: TomB):

Most important numsmatic accessory: Very deep pockets.
Seriously....
I love my camera (Nikon D300 + 200mm Macro lens + tripod).
I love my post-processing software (Nikon Capture NX & Photoshop Elements)
I love my website (www.pbase.com)
I love my loupe (Essenbach 3x6x9)

I love my cotton gloves
I love my Airtites
I love my Danscos
I love my Safe Deposit Box
But most of all, I love the Forums, for all the numismatic knowledge the members have shared, and NGC for providing for this important censorship-free resource!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike - I especially like the 1889 Gold Dollar - doesn't that coin have a history -
ie: the coin was lost or stolen ?
Yes, the coin does have some history. Incidentally, it's my icon coin.
For those that don't recall. I purchased the coin on eBay, gave it to my local dealer to be submitted to NGC, and the dealer misplaced the coin, replaced it with a PCGS 64, then found the coin and we traded back. Took about 6 months, but I finally got the coin back (if not certified -- it is still raw)...Mike

What is the difference between a type 1 and type 2?
A few images tell it better than I could describe it:
Type 1:
Type 2:
Type 3:
Hope this helps...Mike
p.s. thanks for the kind words.

Wow, some great coins posted by you guys recently!!!
Here's the newest addition to my type set (ex:RYK/SageRad):
In my opinion a touch overgraded in a PCGS AU 58 slab, but with "the look" that I love in old gold -- yellow/orange gold and with some crust...Mike

Welcome USArmyParatrooper & nice coins!
-
For the second time, you suck!
-
p.s. nice coins everyone.
-
This purchase was a big step for me but well worth it, IMO.
You suck!
-
Here is a Barber half dollar-
You can say that again! Very nice Tom. Had that one long?
-
A little present to myself....
-
That looks awful clean for a 65, Shane.
Fingerprints generally bother me, but the color on this coin makes up for it.
Nice!...Mike
p.s. nice coins Harvey...coins don't have to be expensive or slabbed to be cool!
-
What's with all the Ike-love around here?
Nice NEWPs everyone...Mike
