  1. This might not be a very constructive opinion, but I would avoid the purchase altogether based on the photos uploaded, light and everything really. It's a +$1000 coin, so maybe wait for something better.

I don't think you will be pleased when you receive it : )

Perhaps it's better to get this date when you can see HQ photos uploaded, PCGS' TrueView, or NGC's PhotoVision (Which no one uses, and where PCGS excels).

However, the seller offers 30 day returns, and so the only damage is return shipping.

    Good Luck.

Both are counterfeit and have no numismatic value. Also, a little bit of research would have shown you that genuine Trade Dollars weren’t made until 1873.

How dare you blame him for failing to conduct research about a coin's date? If the ones who made the counterfeit failed to do so : )

Good pictures, but, boy, are they small!

Anyway, I will say 65 on the first one, and 64 on the second, if it doesn't get a no-grade for the scratches on the reverse.

Cropped pictures, and to make this more interesting for you, both have straight grades.

I didn't like the grade, hence the game. Mademoiselle Liberty is quite striking in the second one, while the first one has minimal marks.

I found I get the best prices on eBay "auctions", when I bid on Heritage I always seem to pay top dollar. I don't see any deals from the dealers. sometimes it's just best to patiently wait till you get a good price. Good hunting.

Yes I mostly find the best deals through Ebay's auctions. If the seller is honest and known not to tamper with photos/coins, and I guess this is why Heritage commands top dollar.

    Thank you for the input!
