What does cleaning look like? What is the condition of this coin? How much is this green penny worth?
I feel that questions about coins should be asked on the Chat Boards. The first reason is there are many more collectors monitoring the posts. Also this is supposed to be a "Journal" not Coin Collecting 101!!!

    Teaser?
I was trying to help! You will get more answers on the chat boards than here!!! If anyone thinks that all chat boards are mindless they haven't tried NGC's example! E-mail accounts are FREE! Well I have never paid for one that is.
As some suggested I will avoid looking at this place forevermore!!!

Well I made it to 21st place before I had to sell most of them to pay bills and such.
I guess I never had any thought that I could get first place in the Buffalo registry sets. I was sort of surprised to get up to 21st place with 48% of the Buffs.
Well that lasted about a week and now I am having to sell most of my set! I am going to try to hang onto some of the better dates like my 1914-S NGC MS65 or my 1936-D NGC MS67 though!
This year I did put together a Fine to BU set in an old "Library of Coins" album. The album was almost 50 years old and had never had a Buffalo in it!!! Will I got to work hunting up the '13-s, '24-s, etc. You know it is harder to find a nice well struck 1928-D in VF to AU than a MS65! Well I just added the last coin a very nice 1913-S T2 in XF! I doubt that the '18/7 hole or '37-D 3 legger hole will ever be filled.
The funny thing is I like my Fine to AU+++ Library of Coins set better than the gems in my registry set!

Must be the world's record time for getting a coin graded and back home from NGC!
On June 3rd I mailed ANACS #686057 to NGC for "Earlybird" grading! June 12th I opened a registered package from NGC with NGC #2508704-001! How about only nine days for Earlybird grading including mailing time!!!
The piece is also a "small D" 1934-D Buffalo Nickel! The U.S. Mint in 1933 went to a smaller "D" mintmark. This is why you can find both the "small" and the newer "large" mintmarks on all the U.S. Denver Mint coins. NGC only shows five small "D" 1934-D Buffalo Nickels in its population report. I don't know if this is commensurate with the actual number of small "D" mintmarks.
