Hi. Jim here, the rookie. Now I'm confused. I found a 1982 d small date copper penny weighing 3.1. Why was I told from pic that it's low value. These I thot were big money. At least that's the hype. Someone plz explain. I'm bummed

I didn't see a 1983 weighing in at 3.1. 

What your looking for is :

a small date D 1982 penny weighing in at 3.1 

or

a 1983 penny weighing in at 3.1

neither of which I saw in the pictures. You have large date and small date 1982's, yet not the rare mint mark matching the weight and date .
