    2 is better than 1
Despite the mints 1 per household rule.I ordered 1 set in my name and I had my aunt order the other set in her name. They will be shipped to 2 different addresses. This reverse proof will take off like a rocket. Now I have 2 sets comming. If I had the money I would buy 3..Now when these sets come in.They will be unopened and sent straight to NGC..To those who can afford it,buy them..The price is rising on them right now and the havent came out of the mint..For all thse who cant afford it right now,You may never be able to afford it later.

The hottest of coin of the year is here
Well everyone knows about the rare misprint eagle. If you dont, it is the 2007 reverse on the 2008 eagle. The raw coin went from 20.00 to 200.00 in a week.only 47,000 errors exist. If you break it down further that equals to 900 coins per state. They are over 900 people in a 20 block radius.Point given,If you cant afford this coin now,You may never be able to afford it.Silver eagles are the biggest among new collectors.I had to splurge.I have 32 comming to me.29 raw ,1 ngc ms69 ,and 2 ngc ms70..By the way,Buy them before they arent anymore left. The average ms70 costs 450.00.This is one rareity you may never want to pass up...Happy collecting

takes a lot of points to pass someone up
Dear journal.I am now out of the top 200s and now I am 199.I just upgraded a roosevelt dime in my collection.I can see myself getting to be #1 someday.I just need 4 million more points.I am still waiting on Ed McMan to knock on my door.So I am dreaming, what is the harm in that.My goal this year is to break #150 and to get at least 8 registry awards.6 of them is in the bag.No worries here.I dont know about a slow economy,I know some of my coins arent cheap.

    World War 2
I recieved my marine dollar today.Everyone should know a little bit of history of this famous picture.Truth be told,I added this coin to my registry and I had to leave a note about this coin.So I said "Putting up the flag and killing the japs".That is what this picture of this coin is.We didn't want to get into this war and they sucker punched us.They got their asses kicked.I know, the mint should produce a coin that has the mushroom cloud from "Little Boy" is the nick name given to the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.We could have a saying on the coin "Made in America, tested in japan".I would buy it

14 people will get knocked out of first place this year
In my previous journal last year I became #1 in Mint State Roosevets..Now I looking to put a hurting on 14 people this year.I will disclose the names of all 14 people in my Feburary 1st journal.I will look for someone to give me a challenge and hold on to their #1 spot.Hope they can prove me wrong by holding their first place stature.I know coin collecting is fun and competing is more fun..Take care

    2008 is heating up
Majority of collectors already called the mint at 12:00 eastern today. Before 12 the mint website was fine, now it is shut down because of the volume of customes it is recieving.I called the mint at noon using speed redial and so did my 4 other family members.I finally got through after 25 minutes of trying. The other family members were helping me out to get in touch with the mint. Now what was the big comotion about..The rare 3 coin set of proofs. The gold, silver, and clad proof set will be the hardest to get.only 25,000 sets were minted.Only 1 per household and I dont think it will be available past this weekend..Now remember they will have 6 different bald eagle coins.2 gold (MS and Proof).2 silver (MS and Proof) and 2 clad (MS and Proof). You can buy any of these coins individually,But getting the rare 3 coin set is the key.If Ngc does like it did with the reverse proof and you have to leave this box unopened to get the special designation it will be a safe bet.I hope everyone gets this rare 3 coin set,but I really doubt it.I got mine,Take care

Dont you hate it when people put their 2 cents in and are broke
I specified in my listing,"Ngc is not putting the special designations on these coins".I didnt specify anything about pcgs in any of my statements.Pcgs is crappy anyway.I was telling ngc collectors to beware of this scam label if they think they are buying it to send it ngc to get this special designation. If I wanted to tell people about pcgs, then I will go to the pcgs website. For someone who ranks a 0 in points score really knows a lot.

    buyers beware
To anyone who has a 10th anniversery platinum set,or trying to get a 10th anniversery platinum set.Watch Out!!!!Many dealers on ebay are trying to tell you these are eligable for the early release or first strikes.Ngc is not putting the special designations on these coins.Do not waist extra money if the dealers are telling you this. This is a scam!!!!!If you get a sealed box from the mint,do not open it.The box will not say U.S.Mint as the sender. It will read"fulfillment center" from memphis,TN.Box them up in another box and sent it to a grading company. If you buy an opened set or open the box you can only get the reverse proof with the special designation.I recieved one of my 10th anniversery eagle sets today and I am waiting for the other one to arrive, and I will be sending my coins to NGC.

Ngc should stick by their guns
Last year 2006 the silver eagles came in proof, mint state,20th anniversery proof,20th anniversery reverse proof,20th anniversery mint state,Burnished early releases.I still don't know why they make first strikes. The registery points is still the same.First strike is a waiste if time.I have a vast ngc collection and I wont buy a first strike because of the different label.Pcgs, anacs, and igc sucks .How come in the registry it has just 1 spot for 2006 eagles. This is obsurd and retarded.Ngc is becoming one of the highest and respected coin company's and they can't even put up a spot for the rest of the 2006 eagles..Stop with the first strikes already. If I buy an eagle on the day it was minted and don't send it in until 6 months ,it wont be a first strike.

I appreciate the Mint State Roosevelt Challenge !!
Thank you Dennis Edwards and Miami Heat..I started in Feburary on Roosevelt dimes.I went from last place to #1 in 11 months.Dennis and Miami kept me on my toes this whole year.Even though I accomplished the near impossible,I wouldnt have got this far without them pushing me to stay ahead of them.Miami heat obscured his set in april and It kept me trying to figure out what he had.I want to sincerely thank you two for keeping me on my toes.I do hope you two keep me on my toes this year to keep pushing me for the 2008 awards.I thank you from the bottom of my heart..I was fun and exausting..

Honoring the 50 states with a few laws we never knew existed.
From 1999 to 2006,I left a description on all of my state quarters about laws you never know existed.Every Quarter has a different Law.For state quarter that I have in my collection (clad and silver)there is a different law.If you want to read the coin descriptions you will laugh until it hurts on some of these laws.As I get more state quartes in I will update the laws.I tried to keep it a clean as possible. Some laws I couldnt add because it would considered too offensive. If you want to know more weird laws in your state e-mail me and i can give you a breakdown if more laws your state has.You might be suprised..

    Only the strong Survive
I just want to let everyone who reads this. This registry is more than just fun,or a hobby. This is your basic hardcore competition to become the best you can ever be in any set you choose. If this was not a competition then everyone would be ranked the same.A G-4 coin will be the same as MS-68.But sorry to say it is not. This country was built a little over 200 years ago and we are the worlds superpower. No other country can beat us.Why do you think that is.We strive to be the best of the best.It is in our blood to better ourselves.Yes,many people in here say this is not a competition.Well,go complete your G-4 sets and leave The ranking system up to the Big Dogs. The rest of you can sit on the porch. My brother and I are both in this registry and we always battle in here all the time. That's what makes is so fun and a challenge. It is not always deep pockets to get the best coins. It takes cunning, wits, devotion and a lot of luck to be,the best of the best.To everyone who is trying for that #1 spot or who is there,Congratulations. These people have the dedication and determination for their collection. Not only does it make you have a great collection, but it is a retirement issue.Anyone can go buy 1000 average circulated morgans. If you spent that same amount of money on one great MS67 or MS68 morgan. The price will go up 10 times faster than those single morgans ever will.Coin collecting has reached a new high. Some people have that old mentality of just having an old coin in any condition. This new era is a huge mile stone in coin collecting. My grandfather gave me some of his old circulated coins and they are special to me,eventhough though not worth more than silver.I want better of my son.I want to give him a coin that is a pop 1 or 2 with none better. Now that's love....

PCGS is starting to lose the Certification War
I have been collecting coins for over 10 years.Through trial and error I realized what coins to buy.Which coins are worth wild and some,I was ashamed of what I bought.I starting to buy Pcgs,Ngc,Anacs,And Icg.Well after close observation,I got rid of my Anacs and Icg.My only delima is that I am a creature of habbit.Once I make my mind up about something I will stick with it forever.I carefully looked at my Pcgs and my Ngc coins.I took in account at Quality,Grade,How the coin fits in the holder, and how the label and case structure is made.3 out of 7 of the Pcgs coins I had a major problem. The coins would roll around in the case.None of my Ngc coins did that. Then I looked at the labels.Pcgs labels looked like Someone typed them out on a Backyard typewriter.Needless to say they finally made a better label.I also didn't care for that off set circles that Pcgs has around their coins.Ngc has a smooth perfect caseing throughout the case.My only problem I have about Ngc is that the hologram sticker on the back can come off.I also like the fact that the word Guaranty is written on the case.Something a long time ago told me to stick with Ngc.I dont know what is was that told me to stay with it but I went with my gut feeling.I recently started in the Ngc registry about 18 months ago.I would have started in it sooner but I didnt know it existed.Ngc and Pcgs are allowed in the Ngc registry.Pcgs only lets Pcgs coins in their registry.I did a little searching into the Pcgs registry. They do not have an indepth points scoring like Ngc.You cant even look up the population report without logging in.Many people say that Ngc has more coins in a higher grade than Pcgs.I would have to agree with them.78% of every dealer on ebay sends his coins to Ngc.Of course you will have more coins with Ngc.Some coins in Pcgs do bring more of a premium than Ngc.But when less people are sending their coins to Pcgs,it will bring up a preimum. Most coins in the Coin World Magazine when you look at it,Pcgs and Ngc are priced the same price for the same grade and same coin.Pcgs and Ngc in my opinion running neck to neck battle.I will bet Ngc will take over the coin market very soon.Pcgs is starting to lose race.Sorry Pcgs lovers, your days are numbered

I know this is more than a hobby
I see this all your point of views, and I have to disagree with alot of you.First let me make a clear understanding of what i meant by a (real set). Many sets are fairly easy to collect.peace dollars, ikes, susans, new presidents, statehoods, sacagua(however you spell her name)two and three cents..I am talking about those big sets:morgans,Saint gauduines, lincons, buffalos, jeffersons, franklins, Kennedy, mercury, and my favorite Roosevelt's.These collections are vast and long. Some ppl it takes them years to complete these sets. These sets are huge and difficult to obtain very rare ones and in extremely high grade .My heart goes out to all of you.If you have the #1 spot, you are the man..If you trying to get in the #1 spot of these collections,I wish you all the best of luck..Now to my second point...I can get a 100% complete collection.I can buy MS60's all day long.I have certain standards for my coins like most collectors. My collection must be from 67ft or better. The registry is for fun and competition. But anyone who is #1 in these sets will tell you,It takes more than just fun and low grade coins to get there..This is competition...Why should I have to buy low grade coins to get a 50 precent or better for my award.A collection with 100% complete means nothing if you have all low grade stuff.I have a wittman book that has all the mercurys and buffalos complete(the grades are good to unc). These coins mean nothing..Those ppl who are ranked #1 in mercurys and buffalos, ect they have a nice set..I dont care what their percentages are..They have a higher standards and commitment to the quality of their coins.I know my last statement may offend some ppl but it is the truth.I love my Ngc coins probally more than the Ngc company love their own company..I am not trying to upset anyone, but when you look for the best of the best it is hard finding those coins.I shouldn't have to settle for less to get my 50% for my award, neither should anyone else.To all who is ranked #1 or trying to get there.I wish you all the best of luck...Take care and enjoy your monster coins

2007 registry award for roosevelts is in my grasp,or is it
Lets all just face reality.Becoming #1 in a real set take cunning, luck, and a lot of money.(Real set)meaning more than 60 coins in a set.I started my roosevelt mint state set in feburary 2007.I was in last place, now I am #1.Now this takes determination and I dont think anyone has gone from last to first place in 10 months. They have 3 different catagories 1946-1964,1946-present,and 1965-present.My small problem is from 1946 to present i am 7000 points away from #1 with 60% of the collection complete.I am in 3rd place.I will get my #1 spot from 1964-46 because i am holding 2 sleeper coins that i will not put in my set until the last minute, just to the #1 guy off .Now on the other hand from 1946-present I am #1 ranked with 39% of the coin set complete.1965-present I am ranked #1 with 27% of the collection complete. This may not seem like a big accomplishment to most people, but remember all my coins are ms67 Full Torches and better.I have 18 ms68ft roosevelts, you talk about expensive. The most expensive roosevelts are from 1946-64 silvers in ms68ft is about 2000.00++++.For me to get an award you have to be #1 and have 50% of the collection complete. This hold a problem for me because I only but the best of the best. Now on my other hand,2 sets I am #1 with 39% and 27% of the collection complete. Now I can't get an award because of my low Percentages.I think this percent issue is Bull. Why should I buy low grade coins to get my percent up.I blew away the competition by buying these extremely high grade coins. If you are #1 then your are #1 no matter what precent you have.If someone was ever to beat me with 20% of the collection then he is better than me.(If anyone is thinking of beating me,Prepare to have deep pockets). My point is precent shouldnt matter. If anyone agrees with me or dont agree with me.feel free to contact me..Ngc Change the Rules.

    Rare and Expensive
Score correction is needed for roosevelt dimes
proof catagory. The no S dimes are very scarce and rare. Why should you have a 3 legged buffalo and it is 60 times more common than a proof no S dime.It is an error coin and not many exist. You are going to pay 10 times more for a no S than a regulal proof dime of that same year. You also give more points for a type 2 coin, this is a lot more rarer than a type 2 coin. You really need to reconsider how many points it should have.Your registry is for the finest coins.A rare coin like should be with the finest in the world.

Ngc Whats with all these labels
unlike most collectors I have over 200 ngc coins certified MS70
or PF70.Why is it all of a sudden that NGC has labels that are: 1.First Strikes
    2.First year of issue
    3.Early Releases
Why are some collectors paying more for these labels.A 70 is
perfect. You can't get no better. The label doesnt make your collection better. It just throws off your collection.Example:You have 10 years of eagles and 3 of them are early releases now your set doesn't look perfectly even.Early releases won't give any more extra points.Early releases came out about 6 years ago so now you can't even
have a perfect set of early releases. Now First year of issue.
Anyone who collects coins knows 80% what year every coin started for the first time.If you dont know by now then i'd advise you to collect stamps or marble or something else.Early releases:now this is just plain stupid. You order coins from the mint within the first few days of release and send it in for grading, now you get an early release label. If you keep your same coins you got from the mint for 4 months and send it in for grading you get a regular label. No company can tell if a certain coin is an actual early release after 4 months. What is the point of this. Why do people pay extra for these labels
I perfer the good old plain label. That is all I collect and my collection will stay that way.100% perfect
