I paid a lot for this token and NGC won't even certify it. "Not suitable" they say.
Nevertheless it is rare and I am happy to own it.
PS - If you are going to collect Conders BigG you need to become acquainted with Bill McKivor. He is honest and has some great material priced very fairly.
Here is his link.....

Beautiful tokens farthing. I especially like the 707.
I was going to bid on a few Spence pieces in the Davisson auction, including a Spence mislabeled as a Pidcock, but my wife convinced me that a week in Florida would be better. For us.
-
I had considered Lot #1011 as well but money is a little tight as my son is back in school plus I bid to win on a Heritage lot of nine Schutzenfest medals last month, my other obsession.
If you do win 1011 let me know what tokens you don't need and what you want for them. I'll work more overtime!
-
Thanks for the info Conder!
I hope you aren't bidding on Lot #279, as that's one that I need.
May the best man win.

Yarm, your Cambridgeshire 9 is truly a thing of beauty.
I picked up an extremely nice Pidcocks Middlesex 1073 farthing last month that may well grade MS65, the strike, color and details are nothing short of amazing.
As soon as I get some free time I'll photograph it and post the images here.
-
I have an example of the Norwich Castle token but yours is a dozen grades better. Plus your photo presentation really makes it pop.
Well done!
Here's what you get for $35.....
-
VERY nice Pidcock's 414 Jobessi, a brilliant design and the first Pidcock's token listed in D&H.
Now you need the 415...
-
And a Conder that was lacquered probably before I was born.....
And I'm pretty old!
-
And an interesting Conder featuring a ghost ship struck with a broken die.....
-
Did someone mention beer?
Here's a "hoppy" Conder, also from Kent.....
-
Love the 45-S Mercury toner Filthy-H. Excellent photos too.
I just picked up a very nice blast white 1943-S Merc in an old NGC no line fatty holder that graded MS66 FB.
Hopefully I'll get some time to photograph it during my day off on Monday.

I have purchased a few Swiss Schutzenfest medals from Zohar and they have all been more than acceptable.
-
The gold Schutzenfest medals are few and far between. The Olten came from Rod Moore, and he helped me get this 1910 Bern from a Swiss seller...
I wouldn't mind finding a third for the hat trick!
-
You must have the best collection of Swiss shooting medals in the world!!!!
That honor still goes to Rod Moore (Senior and Junior) but Zohar is rapidly accumulating a world class collection of Schutzenfest medals.
He does need some gold though, like this...
Same medal in silver...
-
FOR HIHO:
Both graded MS-63.
I have the first in MS65 and want the second.
-
Amazing strike on that taler Zohar.
-
Here's a few from the Pidcock's Exhibition in London...
-
Both are very nice. How many of the Holy Freres medals do you have thus far?
Quite a few, but still not enough.
Here is a very rare (RR with 80 minted) Hans Frei that I bought yesterday instead of going to the NYINC show...
I'll try and post better photos of these coins though I admit that I am quite satisfied with the seller's photos. Whoever is handling the photography chores at Northeast Numismatics obviously knows what they are doing.

A post I made elsewhere in the summer of 2008...check the last line!
A beautiful 1911 Basel (R-133) from a Swiss dealer.
Worth about $40 in VF and $120 in UNC.
Hans Frei designed this medal as well as the beautiful R132 (1909 Basel) and the R134 (1914 Sissach)
If it takes a lifetime I will own an R132.
-
I have wanted this Schutzenfest medal for years and while money is tight these days I jumped on it.
1909 Basel Shooting Medal
R-132c 29mm Silver
NGC MS63
Hans Frei at his best!
If you own the Richter catalog you will find that R-132, 133 and 134 form a very nice Hans Frei set.
Now that I have the 132 I only need the R-134.
Maybe Zohar has one...
-
All very nice, but the R-19b really stands out for me. Fantastic!
-
I can't wait myself for this show coming up. Hopefully I can find a Taler or Two.
Hopefully I can find the time to go.

Zohar, your 1902 Neumunster (R-1785a) is a beauty, and quite rare (RR) even with the scuff, if that is indeed a scuff at all.
It would fit nicely into my Beautiful Women Schutzenfest set...
The same design was struck in solid gold as the R-1784 and has a RRR rating. Now that would be a find.
My only new acquisition is a $6000 roof on my house. :frown:

Some beautiful Schutzenfest medals Zohar. The photos are superb.
I'm still very attracted to the Monthey, very Mona Lisa like.

Two beautiful tokens Hard Times, I especially like the defiant look on the sheep on the Bedfordshire. Like it's saying...
"Shear ME? You sure you want to?"
