I do collect some Canada NGC sets.
I have TERRIBLE luck with NGC on my Canada nickels!
I reccomend you DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY TRYING to cross them.My coins were from 2 different groups.1. I purchased several ICCS coins. For most coins ICCS have the LOWEST grade numberings on regrades. On Non nickel coins they usually grade the same or higher on NGC regrades.2. For my nickels they usually graded 1 or 2 grades LOWER.3. I submitted 5 PCGS crossover Canada nickels. 4 of them FAILED to get the same grade.(They were NOT crossed.)Thanks! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. I recently have been buying ms62+ Nazi Zinc coins.
Ngc has limited support these coins in competitive sets!If these coins were good enough for NGC papers, there is No reason that they are Not in competitive sets. The Nazi may have been Wrong, but WE WON!Please correct your error! Thanks! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. I collect for Fun & long term investment. My hope is others will agree with me many years Later when I sell my coins!
Ngc ratings make very little sense to me!
I am glad NGC ignores Cameos/ Pl.
In a FEW cases NGC DISCOUNTS the RARER SUPERIOR PL compared to the REGULAR COIN! (Ex: See State Quarters)
I collect RARE coins with FLASH!
    1. My BEST example is my 1864 Bronze Indian cent pr64RB ULTRA CAMEO! Only 2 1864 Ulta Cameo Bronze Indians EXIST!
NGC thinks my MORE COMMON pr64 Red Cameo 1878 Indian is better!
    2. See my PL Kennedys & their populations. Esp: POP 1 Finest KNOWN PL 1971D & 1972D
I would rather own the ONLY PL of ms65pl than a COMMON modern PF70DCam of the SAME YEAR!
NGC occasionally rates my RARE coins as LOW as 0 or 3!
My stategy is MUCH cheaper to BUY.
Most coins I see will NEVER make my standards!
Many PL's are less than 1 out 100!
Even if I do not get the Last Laugh, I will have Fun doing it!
    Thanks Lqueen6!

I collect many unusual coins. I think NGC should add a loosely defined Interesting category of Whatever the user wants!
    NGC does!
You can create your own Odd sets by creating Signature Sets.
They are a lot more work than a Standard set!I do hope NGC keeps expanding there standard sets!NGC Signature sets have improved! If your old signature set complains of errors, you should:1. Print out your old signature set.2. Create a NEW signature set with a different title!3. Put each old coin into the new Signature set.4. After corrections, your new Signature set will work great! Thanks. Lqueen6

As reccommended by another. these are some of my Odd ball favorite coins! I do not have a scanner. My coins are in topical groups.
    1. Service Used: NGC Spain 1312-50 Alfonso XI Ms62 Quarter Sized silver coin. This is my Oldest coin!
One side has the King. Reverse side has a church & Christian worshipers.
Before Alfonso XI northern Spain was only a feudal city state.
Alfonsos father, King died. Alfonso XI was still in tutoring
Medieval law said a person did not gain full rights to act as an adult until they were 15!
Upon reaching age 15, Alfonso XI fired his tutors & became King!
Alfonso XI is famous being the LAST King to drive out the Moors from Europe!
Alfonso XI was a FIGHTING KING!
He was the ONLY European King to die of the PLAGUE!
    2. The Zeplin was a floating gas filed balloon ship. The Zeplin was a technological marvel for its time. They were useless
in war because they easily exploded!
My German NGC 1930A ms65 Zeplin 5 marks is 1 of he Near Finest.
I prefer my clean coin. Only 1 better is toning stained!
    1930F pf65UC Zeplin 3 marks 1 of Finest UC

    3. NGC Central American Republic was a loosely organized republic of the countries that existed 1821-51.
It did NOT include Panama! Panama was only created by Columbia's 1903 rejection of our building of the Canal!
    My Central American Republic
    NGC Ms66 1837 1/4 R
    Ms66PL 1826 1/4 R
    Ms64 1846 8 R
    4. Years ago, Cruising South America, I visited the Falkland Islands. Coins are almost ALWAYS too expensive in a home country. You need to buy somewhere else!
That interest made me buy years later, this Falkland Islands coin.
this coin shows a Huge sailing ship

My coin is a raw Proof in holder 1985 Falkland Islands 25 pounds 100th anniversary coin. Needs to be Certified to use.
This is the LARGEST silver coin I have EVER SEEN!
20,000 mintage, 4.614 oz .925 Silver! Bought when Silver was much CHEAPER!
Coin weighs 150 grammes & is 65mm in diameter
OK, that is my not fully edited favorite 4 odd ball groups. Does anyone else have some ODD coins?
    Thanks, Lqueen6

    NGC ignores Canada!
Looking around I noticed your competitive support for the US is good! Why is Canada YEARS behind! Please correct!
    Thanks!
