My odd ball Favorites Journal Draft ! I need to refind ny notes & get Reg #.
As reccommended by another. these are some of my Odd ball favorite coins! I do not have a scanner. My coins are in topical groups.
1. Service Used: NGC Spain 1312-50 Alfonso XI Ms62 Quarter Sized silver coin. This is my Oldest coin!
One side has the King. Reverse side has a church & Christian worshipers.
Before Alfonso XI northern Spain was only a feudal city state.
Alfonsos father, King died. Alfonso XI was still in tutoring
Medieval law said a person did not gain full rights to act as an adult until they were 15!
Upon reaching age 15, Alfonso XI fired his tutors & became King!
Alfonso XI is famous being the LAST King to drive out the Moors from Europe!
Alfonso XI was a FIGHTING KING!
He was the ONLY European King to die of the PLAGUE!
2. The Zeplin was a floating gas filed balloon ship. The Zeplin was a technological marvel for its time. They were useless
in war because they easily exploded!
My German NGC 1930A ms65 Zeplin 5 marks is 1 of he Near Finest.
I prefer my clean coin. Only 1 better is toning stained!

3. NGC Central American Republic was a loosely organized republic of the countries that existed 1821-51.
It did NOT include Panama! Panama was only created by Columbia's 1903 rejection of our building of the Canal!

4. Years ago, Cruising South America, I visited the Falkland Islands. Coins are almost ALWAYS too expensive in a home country. You need to buy somewhere else!
That interest made me buy years later, this Falkland Islands coin.

My coin is a raw Proof in holder 1985 Falkland Islands 25 pounds 100th anniversary coin. Needs to be Certified to use.
This is the LARGEST silver coin I have EVER SEEN!
20,000 mintage, 4.614 oz .925 Silver! Bought when Silver was much CHEAPER!
Coin weighs 150 grammes & is 65mm in diameter
OK, that is my not fully edited favorite 4 odd ball groups. Does anyone else have some ODD coins?
