My dad gave me a 1902 IHC in about good condition when I was 7 years old. That coin mesmerized me and I became hooked for life.
I started collecting IHC proofs about five years ago. I have bought proof at coin shows, raw on ebay, teletrade and heritage auctions. The proofs I bought from ebay raw I would submit to NGC for grading. There have been a few that have graded but most part these acquisitions were body bagged. Ebay seems to be a dumping ground for small and large coin dealers. Most of my set is complete but the copper nickels which can be quite costly. I enjoy photographing my coins almost as much as I do collecting them. I wish more registry members would photograph there coins and share them with others.

This is a nice proof I picked up recently.
This is a nice 1878 Proof Indian Head Penny graded by PCGS as PF64RD. I enjoy photographing my collection and sharing them with others. I have a Indian Head Cent Proof registry set on NGC and my user name is dean1345. Check them out.

Check out this beautiful toned indian head proof cent.
I purchased this outstanding magenta toned 1899 IHC proof about 2 years ago. It also has a magenta toned reverse and highly reflective mirrors in the fields. This indian is housed in a NGC holder PR65BN. Check out my other IHC Proofs in the NGC registry under dean1345.

Added a 1908-S to my IHC type set.
Bought this 1908-S off ebay last week. This was the first IHC minted at the San Francisco Mint. It has nice luster and blue-green toning across the feathers on the obverse.

1886 T-2 IHC Proof Star Designation
This beautiful 1886 T-2 IHC proof has the only star designation for type 2's. If you look up the pop report for IHC proofs NGC is very stingy giving out their stars. The star designation means that the coin has superior eye appeal. I do have to agree with their grading on this one. The obverse and reverse has beautiful blue & purple peripheral toning. Check out my other toned IHC proofs on the NGC registry. It is a PF65BN * with a Eagle Eye Photo Seal sticker on slab.

It is housed in a PCGS OGH holder. Check out my other IHC proof and IHC type sets on NGC registry with user name dean1345. Have a Merry Xmas!!!!

    1834 Classic Head Half Cent
I bought this 1834 half cent on ebay not long ago and needed your input if it looks original. I know there were many of these recolored and cleaned long ago. This one has very few contact marks, no hairlines and nice even brown color. I would like to have it slabbed by NGC but my expertise is IHC type and proofs. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. What do you think it would grade?

    Tips on coin photgraphy.
If you have been disgusted with your coin photograph's, trust me you are not alone. But there is help on the way. A gentleman that is very active on the PCGS Message Board, Mark Goodman, has an excellent web site, http://coinimaging.com. It has many useful tips on not only improving your coin photographs but doing it inexpensively. My desire is to see more images in our NGC registry. I'm a visual kinda guy and love looking at coins. It does not take a $1000 SLR camera to produce great shots. I use an Olympus 500-UZ and take nice and representative photgraphs. Let me know if this article I recommended has educated and helped you. Looking forward to seeing your new and improved coin photograph's.

I like these about uncirculated half cents.
I acquired this NGC 1828 13 star Classic Head Half Cent AU55BN recently. This series is really undervalued with very low mintage. Check out my other registry sets. I have almost as much fun photographing my coins as collecting them. Looking forward to seiing your images as well.
