I just completed a fantastic transaction with FILTHYHOARD (Don). Beautiful coin, fair price, great communication. First rate all the way!
I'll be looking to obtain some more of that FILTHYHOARD in the future.
Mike
Thanks Mike. The pleasure was all mine !

Can't wait to see this one in hand & take some photos

I'm with Bobby, sweet Mercs!!! (thumbs u
I got outbid on 3 other Morgans, but I managed to win these. I'm sure they'll look nicer in hand & I'll post more images after I receive them.

Nice pickups everyone!!
Ryan, I think you did real well on those Roosies.
Here's an 1889-o Morgan for my set. I still haven't broken into the Top100, but at 106, I'm knockin' on the door

Awesome SLQ. One of my favorite designs & the toning is fabulous as well!
-
Great looking coins everyone!
Here are a couple more Morgans for my set. A nice 1891 with crusty rims and an 1885-cc GSA. Hopefully soon I'll break the top100 in the Morgan registry. I've only got 58% of a complete set (61 coins) so there's plenty of room to move up. I'm in no hurry

Some real beauties guys!! (thumbs u
Picked up this common date Morgan at the Heritage Long Beach show

I paid a bit more than I wanted to, but oh well, I like it and I guess that's all that really matters
-
Thanks Irv, I'm trying to catch up to Mike (jgrinz) and break the Top 100
-
Great pickups everyone! I'm really liking the Star Spangled Banner coins.
Here is a recent Morgan upgrade.
-
Thanks Bobby & Irvin. I figured everyone was getting tired of me posting Morgans
-
Beautiful coins everyone!! Took a break from my Morgan set and picked up this proof IHC from Teletrade last night
-
Beautiful star Dean. I like it a lot!!!

I'm sure glad you made the toning comment Jom. I love toned coins as much as anybody. I don't know if I'm weird or if anyone else feels this way, but when it comes to high grade examples, I'd rather have a white example. I just believe that with all the details that a MS67 or 68 possess, it shouldn't be concealed. That's all the eye appeal I need

Very nice Morgan....what does something like that run?
jom
Some common date Morgans are surprisingly very affordable. Non toned problem free examples of an 1881-s can be had for anywhere between $650 and $750.

Picked up this Morgan in an old fattie. (seller's pics) I can't wait to get it in hand. Definitely looks PL or at least semi PL
-
That's a real beauty Bobby. I like it a lot.
Sweet Fugio, EB
And Timely, that's a nice IHC
***edited to add, that 1910 proof Lincoln is gorgeous as well, Fishy!!!!

Thanks Bob, hopefully one day my images will be as superb as yours

Beautiful pickups everyone.
After only picking up that 1880cc GSA Morgan, I managed to pick up this 1879-o from Teletrade.
I also finally got a chance to image the 1892 Morgan that I won at the last Heritage auction here in NYC.
-
Thanks guys. I just got outbid on a beautifully toned 1879-o MS64* . I thought what I placed was a VERY competetive bid but apparently not competetive enough. Oh well, that GSA will be my only pickup at this years FUN
-
Picked up this GSA Morgan today at the Heritage FUN show. I paid a little more than I wanted to, but it's one of the nicer 1880-cc Morgans still in the GSA holder that I've come across in the past year or so. And if history is any guide, Heritage's photos aren't doing justice to it's luster. I can't wait to get it in hand to see if it's a certain VAM that I think it is

Thanks Filthyhoard... I bought it without really checking the design that close. When I got it, I was really "wowed". Thanks for the advice on grading.... Yeah, I will probably just keep it tucked away for now.... I am hoping with all the $ I am investing in coins of various designs and descriptions, that some day I will be able to parcel them off for retirement... since social security is likely to provide me as much money as the tooth fairy the way it's looking.....
Mintage is supposed to be one of the lowest modern gold commems to date.
