    my first posting
    I have just sent in my first set of coins for grading , I enjoy the Commemorative coins the most, and i have also gotten intrested in trying to collect silver eagles as well. I also get all the silver proof sets from the mint, I have 2 young boys and i am putting them away for them , as far as the commemorative and silver eagle sets i am just trying to collect pf&ms 70's, any advise would be greatly appreciated, I serve as a paramedic, and this seems to be a good stress relief for me. something to keep me sane. ( and broke )
    and this day and time if you dont spend it on coins you pump it into your tank.

    Moving right along
    Well it has been 1 week as of today from the time they have recieved my coins and my order status is showing they are at quality control, so I am starting to get excited to see how they all grade.
    Also I am looking for a pf70 scientist and ms70 founding father if anyone out there knows where is a good place to buy one or has 1 to sell for a good price.

    I was wondering if anyone knows if they will make another coins other then the 2 bald eagle coins this year for the commerative series? I know they only make 2 a year, but not for sure . Any info out there is appreaciated ....

    They have arrived
    I got my first set of coins back today from ngc, 2 of the 5 went 70 other 3 were pf69's , but wont complain about that, will be upgrading all the 69's to 70's over the next couple of days, may stick to only 69 for the american eagle dollars though, got to cut money somewhere. Have listed them on the registry and will add pics in days to come,

    I have just added 3 new coins to my collection, the pf & ms 70's of the 08 bald eagle collection , I now have ms and pf 70's of both the half dollar as well as the dollar coins, I think these are my favorite coins. I am hoping the be adding the pf & ms of the founding father in the coming days, I will also try to add pics of my coins in the coming days as well as time allows anyway, 2 boys keeps me busy , its ballgame time, But oh well I enjoy that as well as collecting coins.

    What to use?
    Just like to know what everyone uses to store their slabbed coins in, ngc storage boxes ect. and what seems to work the best for keeping coins in great shape. I currently have coins slabbed in my safe , but would like to use some other method as well.
    And Ideals woudl be appreciated!
    And also recieved my 2006 pf70 scientist coin in mail this morning will be uploading pic of it soon.

    Gas Prices

    Why do we still go to Work?
    Stopped this morning and filled my truck up with gas before coming on duty and cost me 86 bucks , I thought there went a couple nice coins, . futher more why go to work , money ahead staying at home doing nothing.
    Oh well maybe someone on here is a ceo of a gas company and they can take my 86 bucks and buy more coins for hards times down the road for them......
    oh well just wanted to vent off some steam.

    Glad we has scheduled overtime in summer time, for those who
    attents the lake.Well spend most of June at the station or in the back of a ambulance running, but while at the station I was spending myovertime money pretty quick.2007 Little Rock in PF 702007 Jamestown in MS 702005 Chief John Marshall in Proof2005 Chief John Marshall in Mint StateGot both of these coins from ebay at a steal , getting ready to send them in to be graded, would be safe to say should grade well.And also bought all eight of the presidential dollars in PF70's.Hope to get all of these added to registery soon.And I dont own any gold coins as of yet, but hope to squeeze one in soon.(maybe).And I have enjoyed reading everyone else's month in review so just thought i would post mine as well. and happy collecting to all and Clay your in our prays....Troy

    Has anyone ever seen one of these before?
    Found at a yard sale thought to be old , the book that they are in says on edge coin collection of presidents, and has a picture of the statue of liberty on front of book, it has a coin for every pres, from washingtion to roosevelt, and on the back tells a little about each one.
    Just wondering if someone can tell me more about these.

    dont understand exactly!
    I have noticed on the score of some of the presidential sets that the person in 8th place has the same amount of points as the person in 1st, and the same as the one in 7th so how can this be, are they also judge on something else, looks like if they all have the same amout of points they would all be tied for first... anyone else know..
    Kinda new here , and would like to know, thanks in advance.

    Who is really smarter.
    If you really look at the 69's , You can buy those for a fraction of the original price from the mint already slabbed and graded 69, as aposed to the 70, which cost alot more to purchase up front.
    So Tbird47 is probably getting the better deal in the begining.
    And after all its all about getting on here and being able to brag about what we have weither its body bagged coins or 70's. and being able to hear from others on here tell you good job for completing your set.
    NOT some jerk to kick you in the nu**.
    just my two cents worth.

    My collection
    Over the last month or so I have added several new
    commemorative coins to my set, and just yesterday
    bought the 2007 ms70 little rock . So look forward to
    adding it to my set soon.
    And over the last couple weeks has been a really hard time
    in my life, as I suddenly lost my step-father on the
    20th of july, He was a very special person in my life to me
    as well as my two boys, he will be sadly missed by all, then just
    5 days later lost my grandmother who was 96 years young, she
    taught me alot about who I am today, She also loved talking
    about old coins that my grandfather had over the years.
    As I work through these hard times I look forward to this month
    as I myself will be having another birthday, Lord Willing.
    And strive to buy my first of hope to be many gold coins to add
    to my collection.
    But just a reminder to all , As much as we all love our coins,
    Life in its self is so presicous, and so short even at 96 years.
    It made me slow down and enjoy the simple things in life even more. But I share with all " To be absent from the body is to be
    in the presents of the Lord".
    Well this is longer then I wanted , just thought I would share
    my thoughts, and would like to know if anyone has heard from
    Clay on here after his surgery? Just curious.

    Nice birthday coin
    Well thought this was just a pretty neat new coin I recieved yesterday for my birthday, although the face my be off just a bit on it. Still I think my wife done a pretty good job of coming up with the ideal , being that coins is all I collect now I guess it was easy for her to get the ideal.
    Also got the ms & pf 70's of the founding father that I will be adding to my set in the next fews days. Also look to be adding the 08 gold bald eagle soon as well. after all its said and done, has been a great day for me , I have a great wife , and two wonderful boys, those are my greatest collection, then I have my coins. Happy collecting to all , and a good weekend.
