Working With My Camera

Is the color washed out?

I've spent the last few days working with my camera. A little background, I originally started taking coin pics with a Pentax point and shoot camera, but then upgraded to a digital SLR (also a Pentax). SPHansen got me back on track with an entry about his photos, so I thought I would work on mine some more.

My dSLR can take raw format pictures in either sRGB (for viewing on a monitor) or AdobeRGB (for printing) color spaces. According to my book I have on coin photography, if you put a photo in the gallery that has been shot with the AdobeRGB colorspace, it will appear washed out. This is the subject of this and my next post.

So I got out a raw 1832 Bust half and took a raw photo of the obverse in each color space. I am going to attach one image to each entry and hopefully you all will give me some feedback. This entry has the photo shot with the sRGB color space for viewing on a monitor. What do you think?
