GEORGE BOY-migration

There is a different die variety.

I have received my B. Franklin Coins from the mint. On 04-13-06 I got my first shipment of the B.Franklin $ in Unc. & PROOF.On 04-14 I received my second order of the 2 PROOFS and while looking thru my 30 power microscope I noticed a difference in the letters above B.Franklins Head. Some of the letters where in MIrror type and some where frosted letters. FRANKL were in mirror shiny condition. IN letters were in semi mirror shape. the TERCE were in frosted cond. the N was semi frosted. The TENARY were polished gloosy mirror cond.. It looks like who ever was polishing the dies took a break in his job and never finshed his work and they used these dies with out checking to see if they were finshed. SO I have 2 of these coins and from the first shipment I have 3 were the word FRANKLIN TERCENTENARY are completly shiny mirror Proof condition. Thus be aware that there will be 2 different varieties of the elder Stateman coins to own if you are a collector of Modern Commeratives in the $ variety. Sorry I donot have a digetal camera to take the picture of. D. BERNAR Thank you all if any body else receives these let collectors Society know .
