On 12/7/2011 I posted a S mint marked coin prediction for 2012!

I saw this coming. We were being test marketed with this Struck in SF designated coin. The Mint was doing some market research and decided they could sell more Silver Eagles by issuing more varieties.

I would not buy a (S) Struck in (no MM) knowing a S mint marked is coming unless NGC makes it a requirement for the set.

This is the obverse of my 2012 ASE. MS69
