2012 Collecting Goals
It's almost the new year.
Good afternoon, everyone! I've been thinking about what I want to accomplish in the coming year and Ive come to one constant. As my three and a half year Kennedy Half Proof saga comes to a close at the end of the month, I realize that I don't want to commit myself fully to one set in 2012, like I did this year to finish my Kennedy set.
In light of that, I decided I am going to spend 2012 dabbling around in different areas of interest and not focus on "percentge completion" on any particular set. That's not to say that I won't complete some shorter sets, such as the Sacagawea or Susan B Anthony sets; it just won't be a zeroed in focus for me.
So here are my goals.....
1. Accumulate 48,000 registry points.
2. Attend at least one major coin show in 2012.
3. Buy a coin from a major auction. (Either in person or online)
4. Have an opinion article published in both Numismatic News and Coin World.
That's it. I anticipate 2012 being a fun year. I look forward to adding to my Presidential Dollar set because my high school's namesake, Theodore Roosevelt, will get his coin this year.
I hope you all have a prosperous new year.
Marcus
