from my heart and my soul - thank you America !!!

I can only dream of these coins more than twenty years ago. I was 24 years old in 1985 when I set foot in America as an immigrant /illegal alien from Asia. I started out as a dish washer making $3.25 per hour. I was working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was renting a 3 ft x 10 ft closet. That closet was literally my home. I was living like a rat saving every cents I can managed. I was living in constant fear of being caught by immigration officials. Anyday can be my last day in America.

Fast forward.....Here I am more than 20 years after. I am American educated with a college degree with a stable and decent paying job. I am married to a lovely and highly educated woman who also came from a humble beginning like me. We have one intelligent and creative 16 year old boy. I became American citizen in 2005. That was one of the happiest moments in my life.

Saint Gaudens double eagle means more than pieces of gold coins to me. It represent my experiences in America. It represent true character, intensity, focus, resilience and hardwork. It represent strength in adversity, and grace in defeat and sorrow. It represent America, the greatest country in world.
