Here is the skinny (facts)

Didn't know when I asked a simple question about E-Bay it was gonna put a knot in some peoples shorts but wow seems I hit a nerve with a few professional E-Bayers.

Folks, here is the skinny and the links to back up what I say. It doesn't cost $4.95 to ship a coin, period. Sure you can pay that for the flat rate box, but "if" we want to practice good business sense, then why not ship it first class in a bubble padded manilla envelope. I switched to this last year after realizing I could pass the savings on to my few customers. I can now ship a coin first class anywhere in the U.S. for a bit under $2.00

Secondly, delivery confirmation. It cost a whopping 19 cents, oh my !!! (for those that aren't aware or don't know how to do it, you purchase this thru Paypal when you print and buy the shipping label. Whats left, insurance. I haven't seen ANY coins on E-Bay that would warrant a fortune to insure.

I mail ANY coin I sell for a bit under $2.00 PERIOD !!! I charge in my auctions $2.00 S/H and each additional purchase 1 dollar more per coin. So if you end up winning 2 coins you pay $3.00 shipping PERIOD.

And what's this complaining about running to the Post Office expenses. What, they don't pick up mail where you live.

DUH !!!! I've never had to "run" to the Post Office to mail a coin(s). So NO expense there.

So please don't whine about ALL these S/H charges you have to pay to sell on E-Bay.

As to the amount you pay to E-Bay for a surcharge (sellers fees) If it is so high, why do it?

Stop trying to make it a business and do something else,

like STOP SELLING ON E-BAY, DUH !!!

But to continue and whine about it makes smart look stupid.

Like I said earlier I ONLY sell coins on E-Bay that I have upgraded. It doesn't matter if you sell 10 coins or 1000 coins the shipping charges and delivery confirmation will still cost the same.

I tried selling a few other items with no luck. (wife hitting on me to clear out a closet) Won't go that route again. Learned the first time !!!
