FEELING THE NEED FOR AN "INTERVENTION"...

or not... When I am walking around with this stuff, I "steer clear" of all bodies of water!

Greetings Collectors and/or Hoarders,

I am finding it difficult to "have a life" now that ebay has me by the short hairs. Between selling & buying & shipping & listing and an occasional halfway decents night sleep, I am finding it hard to find the hours I need in an average day.

I did stop long enough to check my 16-coin submission status and damn, it's been shipped. I found it most painfull to not "peek" at the final grades. I have a pile of gold coins that I "cracked out" of their slabs to take a shot at some "upgrades". I always wait 'til they get here to the house. I know some of you think I'm nuts for doing it that way but oh well... It has been several years since I checked the grades on a submission before I actually recieved the package. I am hoping for some decent grades on 3 $20 type three double eagles. Also have some 08-w gold and some new 09 fractionals. from what I can tell I should get the package on Monday. Kinda thought it might be here today but "didn't happen.

I did get four more little silver bars today. They are coming about every other day. the ones that came today are the 4 in the middle. From top down: a 25.42 ounce from "M2" refining, next a 12.12 ounce from a refiner I am not familar with, #3 a 10.16 ounce from "Geomin", a really old refiner out of Australia (their logo is in the upper right corner inside the little map shape of the "land down under". bottom center a really cool "old hand pour" (actually they're all "hand poured & stamped") from "SO" refining. the two in the bottom right are from Consolidated Mines & Metals which are the hardest to find and I had to pay dearly for them. The seller took some bad pics and had a small brief description, which is what I think saved from ones who know what these bars bring. A small 5.32 oz. sold early last year on ebay for close to $300, thats for "5" ounces. I picked up a 10.23 oz. CMM'S a few weeks ago and was in a "no holes bared" Bar-fight! to get it but I got it. It's pictured in my last post I think or the one before that. These "Consolidated" bars are "highly sought after" and now I have three. These two "5-somethings & that 10. 23 I just mentioned. The last one I want to mention is the "square brick" on the lower left. It is a really old old bar with no name except the weight which is 7.877 ounces. What makes this bar so cool are the Chinese "chop marks" which puts this old bar in the orient well over a hundred years ago. Oh yea, I almost forgot, Hey "Dan" I got my 5oz. Nevada bar to go with my 3 & my 10.(three down from the top on the right)

I feel an "Intervention" is in order if I can't get a handle on my spending. I have only bought some 2008-w unc. gold & platinum, also some unc. baby buffalos (2) and unc. baby eagles (3) and some "teenage" (1/4 & 1/2) 2008-w unc. Platinum. That is all the coins I have to show for after about 60 days and 9+k on the bay. Plumb Pitiful...

Happy Collecting/Hoarding

WKF

P.S. The only modern coins I will end up with is every single West Point 2008-W coin minted in the Uncirculated "burnished strike". Both the gold and the platinum, both the Eagles & the Buffalos as the mintages are absolutely the lowest in history by a "long shot". All of you that can afford it should do the same. Heck borrow the money and come back two years from now and sell. Then drop me a line telling me the "vast" sums of money you made that you used to further your other sets. This is a solid given that you just can't lose on!!!
