Actually I should say, "The Kids know best!!!"

Greetings Collectors,

Here's wishing all of you had a very Merry Christmas! We are getting close to the end of yet another year. I will save the gory details of all my many failures and mistakes for a later post. One of the few things that I did get right was buying as much Silver & Gold as I could possibly afford. Just wished I had bought more. Again that ugly "greed monster" trying to rear its ugly head.

Also an additional positive is the fact that I have all three of my kids, girl-24 & boys 12 & 14, pretty much "brainwashed" to the idea of getting as much of those two metals as possible. But then I get a "smart aleck" comment from my middle kid saying, "Dad, I don't need to buy any of that stuff for myself, 'cause I am gonna get a third of yours when you kick, and that will be a "pile". There's nothing like loving children to make the "holidays" cheerfull and bright.

I will say that the "three" of them never fail to come through when it comes to getting me something for Christmas or birthdays that I really like. Last year it was an assortment of different date Silver Eagles & Morgan Dollars from the misc. bin at the local coin shop. This year was an assortment of some "Silver Town" pieces. My oldest, daughter, Kara, found twenty, almost twenty year old "Garfield" Christmas rounds from 1991 which are kinda cool. My oldest boy, Clayton, purchased the two "five ounce" bars on E-Bay, and from the same vendor, my youngest, Dillon, liked the looks of the sealed package of ten "one ounce" bars.

I will say this, in that "$100 presents" from the "little guys" was quite impressive and the, close to "double" that from my girl was extreamely touching. Although, if the other two have the same "mindset" as my oldest boy, in that all that they give me in the coin/bullion area, will someday come back to them with a "tidy" increase in value. Truly a "gift that keeps on giving" to not ony the recipiant, but to others as well, further on down the line. Isn't America Great!

Happy Collecting & Happy New Year!
