"One" per household limit...

Greetings Collectors,

The much anticipated proof Lincoln Silver Dollar (the last 50,000 of the 500,000 limit) along with the four proof Lincoln cents will go on sale at noon eastern on Oct. 15th 2009.

The previous sales of the dollar coins sold out in six weeks. Of the 450,000 sold to date, total proof sales 325,000 and just 125,000 in Unc. This will take the total to 375,000 proofs and only 1/3 that amount in the uncirculated version. If any of you do not have the unc. dollar yet, it may pay to pick it up before this set goes on sale. I do think the hype will drive the secondary market for this coin higher than it is already.

According to the cover story, Oct. 13th issue of "Numismatic News" the five coin set will be priced at $55.95 + S&H of $4.95. In addition to the five coins there will be a reproduction of the Gettysburg Address, A Lincoln portrait of of course the proverbial Certificate of Authenticity.

I dare say that if you would like one of these sets, it may be a good idea to be parked at your computer or phone in hand, at "high noon" to procure, what will turn out to be a very popular set that will most likely sell out within hours.

Here's the hope that you are having fun with your coins & good luck to those of you that would like to have this set. Happy Collecting! WKF
