No the cost is not $10.00 to re-holder, actually it is closer to $50.00!

Hi Moondoggy and fellow collectors......

Well right now I am getting together some of my coins to send in for grading by PCGS. From what I know, the re-holder charge is $10.00,(yes) but when you submit the one slab you must use a PCGS form to fill out what you want done! This form cost is another $8.00 charge for that (form) by itself!

Add to that the s&h return fee would be $17.40 for just one coin so PCGS can return the coin to you.

These costs are right off of the PCGS price list. So a re-holder of 10.00 plus the form fee of 8.00 and the separate return shipping fee of 17.40, equals a cost of 35.40! Wait there is more....

The cost to mail the package to PCGS and insure it by registered mail! This just cost me $13.00 to mail one coin out a week ago!

Bottom line to send in one coin to PCGS to re-holder has a starting cost of about $50.00!

I hope this helps you in your question about the cost to re-holder a single coin.
