Well, I just bought my most expensive coin, from a branch mint but not a half eagle.

Turns out I have been watching a 1856-O Quarter Eagle PCGS AU53, a real nice coin! Only 21,100 minted.

My eBay sales funded the purchase today. So I Made A Best Offer and we came to agreement pretty quickly. It is my biggest point coin now at 2335. And resides in my 1856 Mint Set.

I have a buyer for all 9 of my Proof 1/4 oz American Gold Eagles, so once we do the sale, my 1856-C Half Eagle will be procured. That should happen this week!

Quite fun times here, selling modern gold to buy old gold.

I will be looking to sell my Circulation Strike $10 Gold Eagles next. I have 22 differnt ones of them. Hopefully, my buyer will want these too!
