I won a 1893-O Half Eagle for the auction's reasonable opening price!

Boy, was I surprised that I won a PCGS AU55 1893-O Half Eagle for $379 on eBay. I was the only bidder. 110,000 were minted. It is my second New Orleans minted Half Eagle.

I think it was a great buy.

BTW- I went to the ANA Coin Show in Coloradio Springs yesterday. Did not find any of the coins I needed so I didn't buy anything. I did take a few graded gold eagles 1/10 oz and got offers of $100 for each of them. I didn't sell. I think I could do better on eBay. I really was expecting to use them as trade on something I may have wanted anyway. I sensed little interest in them as they were bullion and modern.
