KEEP IT SIMPLE
"A Father's Advice"
Given today is Fathers' Day, random thoughts of Dad have been in my head all day.
While watching the U.S. Open on TV, I heard one of the "Talking Heads" say that Tiger Woods stated that when he is adjusting his golf swing, mid-round, various announcer's speculations about his thought processes are wrong. What he does is think about his father's advice: "Keep it simple". His comment brought a smile to my face, as I recalled many occasions sitting with my father asking his advice about some circumstance of life or other "serious" matter.
Dad didn't use Tiger's specific words, but Dad's words always carried a tone of sincerity and simplicity. Though not highly educated, Dad was an extremely intelligent man- full of wisdom and human understanding.
As a coin collecting philosophy, Tiger's words may be quite appropriate..."Keep It Simple"- a pretty good approach to building a collection.
Thanks, Tiger for bringing my thoughts of Dad into focus!
I love you, Herman!!!
Happy Fathers' Day, Dad!!!
