Did not really realize how rare this grade is. Minus the Kutasi Collection there are only 4 additional MS66 Indian Eagles registered in any date. No MS67 Indian Eagles registered.
I was a little curious so I checked the registries at both PCGS and NGC and found that if you ignore the Kutasi Collection there is only 1 additional MS66 Indian Eagle in any date registered at PCGS and 3 additional at NGC/(Collectors' Society). That also happens to be 1 graded by PCGS and 3 graded by NGC. This is in 40+ registered sets.
I know the population is a little higher than this so I guess that means most serious collectors/investors don't register their gold coins.
Here is my gripe, out of all of the multi million dollar Eagle collections in existence there is only 1 high grade set registered and that is the Kutasi collection. It would be nice to see more of the historical numismatics registered for our viewing pleasure. These sets must exist because there are high end eagles selling for over $100K every couple of months. While this may make it tough for the average person to compete, it would still be cool to see this stuff.
