It's Economics and it's that simple!

I agree that this coin will end up being that "once in a lifetime" investment opportunity for coin collectors. It will not even compare to the 2006 anniversary sets (which sold out VERY QUICKLY by the way- not two months). The 2008 is a different variety, and if it sees 25000 I would be surprised. This coin will end up being at least 10 times rarer than the 2006 sets, and probably 10 times the value. With the sets, you could always find 15-20 pages of items for sale on Ebay- the 2008 at last notice was down below 60 pieces. I have drawers of low mintage commem's that are worth not much more than melt value, and a lot less than I paid for them years ago. I own several of the 2008W coins and will end up selling someday for retirement- that having been said, one coin I will always cherish the most is a slightly worn Columbian Exposition half that my Grandmother picked up in Chicago on her honeymoon during the fair.....it will probably still be worth only a few dollars, but it will be the last one I ever consider selling...now that is coin collecting!
