Doin' the overtime thing

This was supposed to be my weekend off...Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...but we are so short handed in our fire department that I got the opportunity to work OT on Saturday and Sunday. The money is so damn good that I can't turn it down.

And this last week we have gone through some big bucks. My daughter had her 16th Birthday Party and Confirmation Party all in one. It was a great time with all the family and friends showing up but it did cost more then we expected but she is worth every cent! HAPPY B-DAY SWEETIE!! Then the following day my car decided to stop working properly. Nothing like a $500 repair bill bring you down!

So the OT does come in handy. It also will help for vacation this summer. I wasn't planning on any coin purchases this month because the damn car repair bit into the fund but my wife went and surprised me by telling me to get what I want...got to love that woman! I know...I know... it sounds like I am whipped...but we do prefer to talk with each other about finances first before going out and spending a couple hundred dollars. Tends to keep the marriage on an even keel!!! And I have to admit...she has no problem with what I buy as long as the important stuff is taken care of first!

So I am looking to get a 1989 Proof SAE. That will finish up my Eagles for the 80's. And the OT will also let me submit the rest of my Proof SAE that I have. They are from 2001-2008. That will leave me with only 7 more Proof SAE to finish my collection. And I am not counting the 1995w coin. No way I will ever get that one. So I am planning on finishing it up no later then the end of the year. I will also start submitting my state quarters some time this summer.
