Another kudos to Amy at NGC and my 1916-D Mercury
How did that happen so fast?
OK, so I I submit a PCGS graded coin, an AG-3 1916-D Mercury Dime. I know it's only an AG-3 but it is THE KEY DATE. The point total assigned was "3". I shot off an email to Amy and let her know that I thought it rather odd that a 1916-D of any sort would garner a rating of 3. I asked if NGC would consider doing a score correction.
Now, I know most of you are reading this saying exactly what I would say....waaaa, it's not about the points. I know, but, it's still nice to see the point added when a key date is placed into one's set.
Next day an AG-3 isn't worth 3 points it's worth over a thousand.
How does one do what she does so well and proficiently? NGC has a national treasure on their hands. They better give that gal a raise or one of us is sure to hire her away.
Thanks Amy!
