PCGS?

Oh, -- the slabs I buy when NGC ones are not available

I have never dealt with PCGS, but I understand where Dominator is coming from. Legitimate grading services are not as plentiful as fast food joints (legitimate ones, not SGS or other fly-by-nighters) so we must use what ones are out there. But if a grading service, or any other service for that matter, was not making me 100% happy, I would give them the boot. Still more than plenty of people who will still use them, but if service is declining, maybe an un-tapped market would be even very inexpensive examples of PCGS slabbed coins. If they ever went out of business, (dont think it will happen, but who knows) then would the value of PCGS slabbed coins rise, as no more would be certified from them?? Something to think about. I see coins from PCGS sell for .99 cents all day on EBay. Always good to get a slabbed coin for less than cost of grading, but how many people actually capitalize on it? Wont see any more .99 centers if PCGS folded up their tents. Oh, as for if Ultra Cameo's should be, or are worth more than slabs not bearing that attribute, I was wondering the same thing. My 1999 Clad Proof Set came back about a month ago, and all graded PR-69 UC. I did not expect the 'UC' attribute, but other than wondering for a few moments, sighed and thought; "Well it must be better than just a regular proof. But as for whether I think it should be worth more, not unless there is a very different look about the coin. I see none. By the way, does PCGS use the 'Ultra Cameo' description??
