I think that it is unfair to say that the site tries to think for you. While the site never says this explicitly (Though it probably should), by entering in the cert# for the coin you are making the statement that you own that coin, that you have it in your possession. I guess the assumption was made that you wouldn't know the cert# and coin type unless you owned the coin. They probably just didn't factor in that people would be using pictures of coins to gain information in that way. The site's assumption is not a bad one. It isn't even a problem unless you're misusing the page and listing coins that you do not in fact have yet. I suppose it's completely silly to use the link at the bottom of the set pages and look up the coin's worth in a table or ask the seller directly about the coin.
I'll get off the soapbox now, but it just seemed rediculous that the site was being blamed for it's misuse.
