Too Late To Back Out Now?

Gold is my favorite US coin. Which one? I like Coronets, I like Indians, and Saints! If only I had not grabbed the loop and looked at the deep satin luster that one fateful day!

Too late to back out now! I am plunging forward with all due moderation. Diversifying into platinum meant buying a couple more platinum coins for my set, if interested. This diversification was at 1300 spot, and coins were costing in the 1400 range per oz for MS 69. Platinum is cold to view, and gold is warm and inviting. Gold is at 700 trading rangefor and MS 61 Coronet at this point in time.

So if I cannot buy more, I can trade up once in a while, and enjoy viewing current holdings. But gold dropped while platinum stayed steady (ish), and the downside is I am buying more gold, because it dropped a bit, and several coins fell into my range. Better sell my bullion, I much prefer US gold coins and bullion, to gold issued in other countries. It is simpler to inventory and to estimate value, than several countries' coins is my opinion.

I believe that this is a sleeper year for gold, that 10% is reasonable, and that upgrading sets because of the spot recession is more possible short-term. Here is why~ The gold rise of last two years is gaining response from sellers, who are offering more of their quality gold at this level. This allows buyers a broader choice of higher quality, and more scarce specific issues than ever before. In short, while prices are higher, better selection of coins is making the quality coins push down the average investment bullion gold coins to a nearly bargain level. This as the spot plunged below 200 day moving average smartly after April 15, 2007.

Remember to always demand NGC for highest quality coin at any price. Dissapointments range from counterfeit coins to poorly graded coins. While that may be acceptable in lower priced coins, it is not acceptable in gold coins. Yes, buy the coin, not the holder. But choose from many available NGC and PCGS holders at the same time. Why do I advertise this thought? Because I have been dissapointed, and recommend you buy NGC to avaoid this horrible feeling. Most NGC dealers understand, and will assist you if for any reason the coin is not what you expected. But that seldom happens, you understand.

And enjoy the luster only gold can offer! Meanwhile, if you know a more responsive investment than gold, please write and advise us.
