Pics In Registry

Finally took the time to upload the pics for my almost complete 1947 PDS Mint Sets. Not happy with the scans, but I will update them when I get the chance to mess with the fine tuning, to get clearer pics. Only missing the 1947-D Jefferson Nickel, which is at NGC right now getting re-holdered, and the 1947-D Roosevelt Dime, which I am bidding on as I write this. Bid was up to $8.61, so I may have it, as only my bid, and one other are competing thus far. This set has been both a pain, and a joy to try to complete. I will concentrate on my proof sets for a while, before sending my 1946 PDS Mint Set in. I have to assume that when I send my 46 set in, that a couple, or maybe even a few of those coins will hear the 'taps' bugle blowing as they circulate through the NGC line. Its not NGC's fault, it is mine. I should have bought these coins in already certified condition, or bought an uncirculated roll of each mint mark & denomination, sending in a set at a time, till I had a complete set. If one chooses to send in raw coins for certification, they must be ready for the inevitable body bagged casualty or two. (if your lucky, only two). So I think after my recent casualties, I need positive re-inforcement from NGC that the next several batches of coins I submit are sure to pass muster. If I get a body bag out of any government-sealed Proof sets, I will have a major bone to pick with the U.S. Mint.
